  1. I get what you're saying but if someone used Macha as a reason they couldn't hit that year that's a pretty lame excuse. Couldn’t hit? They were top 5 in NL in every offensive stat.
  2. Ahem...Frosty Boys, thankyouverymuch
  3. Tonight I tried one of those DiGiorno pan style pizzas that come with their own cardboard pan. Only set me back $20 at the village store out here in Chefornak, but what do you do when you're hungry and options are limited. I diced up some jalapeños and onions to top it off, standard. Maybe it's because the crust singed on the tray and it needed more cheese and sauce. Or maybe it's because it paled in comparison to the T-bones and crab legs dinner I was planning to have with my lady before bad weather kept flights from bringing me home today so instead I'm still here. (Where it's been a week since a shower due to the water plant here having the lines freeze, I might add.) Whatever the case may be, I'd say skip the DiGiorno pan style.
  4. Best takeaway from that article? I learned that the Long Beach State baseball team is called the Dirtbags.
  5. I haven't been able to find a real suitable comp for Hader, but my judgement would be more towards camp Josh than the Brewers on that hearing.
  6. I wish somebody would have beaned TLR.
  7. I think they’ve done enough to be in the scene at the trade deadline. I think a big part of the success of this season hinges on having some guys in the minors have a great first half. Then we have trade ammunition as well as room to take on salary when opportunities knock.
  8. I wonder how that self quarantine works. Do they just order delivery food, have the driver leave it on the porch? And get other necessities like eggs, tp, and beer delivered?
  9. Good game, I’m glad KC got it. I’m not a gambler but I’m glad I didn’t bet this game, I would have lost.
  10. I can relate to these posts as my girlfriend frequently likes to force me to watch cat and puppy videos. Turbo, great story above.
  11. I'm hoping JJ completely stinks for the cubs, costs them several games and gets released. Then Milwaukee picks him up for nothing and he dominates. At this point, I halfway expect that to be about what happens.
  12. You should buy one of those protector thingies for just in case, then. I could see something like that happening. And that would be the time I start to actually worry about the Reds.
  13. Interesting listen, gives a different perspective on what that job entails. Sorry to hear about JJ's truck. I did a quick check of recent vids from the infamous can opener bridge. No food trucks, so it didn't happen there.
  14. Someone mentioned the Miller Park name not seeming quite right. I have this hazy memory from about the time of the beginning of construction when Miller was announced as a sponsor. I think I read this in the State Journal or something. The name they first had in mind was The Miller Lite House, or something close to this.
  15. Does anyone legitimately believe jeter was better than ripken?
  16. I wish it weren’t the case that the Bucks are our best shot. It’s the one team where if they win, cool, but I really cannot get myself excited or emotionally involved in the nba.
  17. Who remembers Gino’s on State Street? That was deeeeep dish. One pizza would feed me for 5 days and it was so good I wouldn’t get tired of it.
  18. I think Mahomes will thrive in the superb owl. Just a hunch but he looks ready.
  19. I don't mind pineapple. There's a place in Anchorage that used to make a killer pizza that had pancetta, caramelized onions, cream cheese, jalapenos and strawberries on it. Sounded strange but was amazing. I too still have a soft spot for Rocky's, although I haven't had it in many years. The corner pieces were the best.
  20. Mmm, haven't had Buck's in 30 years. Pizza Oven has recently closed. Is Buck's pizza the same as Buck's Bar? No it's just a little take out pizza place on Cottage Grove road (East side of Madison.) Their pizzas are thin, cut in squares. Not the same as Steve's but somewhat similar.
  21. Another one I just remembered: Borner Farm Project, Prescott. They're only open 1 night/week, during warmer weather months. General idea is they grow/raise all the ingredients, and cook one night a week on wood fire. People buy their pizzas and picnic on the farm. Only went once, and it was kind of silly in a way, as it sort of had a rock concert vibe to it if that makes sense. The pizza was ridiculously good though.
  22. A couple others I'll add: Superior- Thirsty Pagan Brewing Madison- Buck's (take-out only)
  23. Steve's in Platteville.
  24. Salt in the wound, brother. Glad you were able to go, though. Aside-Bonham is great, certainly, but not on the level of Peart or Moon..
  25. Missed seeing them at summerfest a couple years ago. Damn it. My sister and i would’ve had a blast. Besides Keith Moon what other drummer was even on Peart’s planet?
