  1. We've had people threaten to sue the moderators of this board. Always fun. Hilarious. And from the way you phrased it, sounds like it's happened multiple times. Good grief, some people are so off, the only thing you can do is laugh about it.

  3. Remember when we had the Blue vs Gold "world series" and he was striking out and dropping f bombs while miked up? I was a little concerned then. During the game he was talking with the broadcast while playing the outfield and he kind of apologized for the bombs and said he just sucks, or something to that effect. It was candid, and it was kind of funny. But it seemed like his confidence and mindset were in trouble to me. No matter how good a person is at anything, they're going to look bad if they overthink it or their confidence is gone. I'm not too worried about him overall. I feel fairly certain he'll get it back, he's insanely talented. It wouldn't shock me if it takes until next year, though.

  6. He must have. Stearns' comments about the DFA were basically "we had to let him go because 2021 would be his last option year so after that he'd have to be in the majors." Umm, yeah, so what?
  7. Thanks a lot GAME05. I didn't mean to put you on the spot there, but I do sincerely appreciate the information.
  8. I thought that triple was long gone when I saw it yesterday. Burnes getting out of it unscathed man on 3rd one out after losing the perfect game was really a good show of poise I thought.
  9. Hmmm... I don't remember that one. When I split the two threads, I just select which ones to move hit a button... But I'll message GAME05 to see if he can repost the link if I screwed up. Homer did post this one, which was good: It was a post me made either late last night or this morning. Mentioned some things he’d read about what to eat and avoid when coming off the fast to avoid insulin spikes. It’s possible he took it down to edit perhaps? Seemed like good info.
  10. One other note, GAME05's post from earlier, which had an article link, seems to have gotten lost when this topic got migrated to its own thread. Which is a bummer because I had not yet gotten a chance to check it out.
  11. I've been following this discussion, as I'd started to consider trying fasting as well and then the thread popped up. I've been walking and doing at-home exercises but seem to have stalled out after a few months. Granted, I want sustainable weight loss, not something where I need to go at it hard in order to maintain, because inevitably something derails that. Usually a self-inflicted injury from trying too hard or something of that ilk. Hopefully by adding in a weekly fast I can get myself into my other pants in a month or two. The ones I fit are getting worn out but I have several nice pairs a size down. That's my kind of incentive.
  12. I'm kind of mad at Detroit. If they were going to put a position player out there to get shellacked in the top of the 9th, a nice gesture would have been to give us Schoop on the mound instead of Demeritte.
  13. This is by far the most of a game I've seen this year. This would be a great way to remember this team.
  14. I think the extra inning man on 2nd rule conspires against our team tradition.
  15. Here's a fun little Altuve highight.
  16. Bref says he has stolen bases in the minor leagues. I can't imagine that guy stealing anything inedible.
  17. One thing I don't like about it, and haven't liked since the get-go, is the fact that the American Family logo has always reminded me so much of this logo: Which of course serves to remind me of my burning cub hatred.
  18. I thought for sure this post was clancy. Hope he’s alright, he’s been absent or quiet lately.
  19. Any chance he's been working as a garbage man? I believe the preferred term is "sanitation engineer."
  20. I couldn’t watch or listen to the game but tonight’s IGT really delivered. Well done folks.
  21. Yeah, to me the success of that signing was entirely dependent on the ball staying juiced. I can't imagine DS was actually not aware of that, so...was he taking a gamble on the baseball itself? I must be missing something.
