I guess I'm a curmudgeon about coffee. When on the road I much prefer to get coffee at a fast food place or a gas station. I really dislike the rare occasion when I'm away from home, get myself into a bind, and have to go buy it someplace where they make people their special coffee beverages. When I find myself waiting in line for 15 minutes to get a cup of coffee, internally I start to get grumpy. I look at how long it's taking to get all the people ahead of me something I've never heard of, with a heart or a portrait of their dog created in the foam on top of it, and of course all paying by credit card because who walks around with the kind of cash it takes to buy a coffee these days. So this is what it's come to, I think to myself. Coffee needs a cup. Not a line, a new language, and a part-time job to afford it.
