  1. That definitely is going to be crucial. It would be in everyone’s best interest if the cba helps to somehow maintain continued opportunities for smaller markets.
  2. He’s talking about in the future without analytical advantages/being ahead of trends, it’ll be increasingly difficult to compete with larger richer market teams. It’s a valid hypothesis.
  3. Well it’s over with.
  4. I agree adam. The first 2 pt try was silly. The 2nd time made a lot more sense.
  5. What in the hell!!
  6. He’s had an awful game. I’d be in favor of someone else getting a try. Can’t be muffing punts so much it’ll cost you.
  7. Well done Peavey. Bravo.
  8. No love for Troy Vincent in that listing of great Badgers they showed earlier. Huge draft miss by Green Bay.
  9. Aside from a face mask fueled field goal, our defense has been insane.
  10. Homer beat me to it, said it better. I really am hating this football game.
  11. Or go for it on 4th. I hate 20 yard punts.
  12. Here’s hoping for a better 2nd half.
  13. I’m thinking (hoping?) they had a different idea and whatever that was ended up not being there. But if that’s the case Coan should’ve just chucked it to the side.
  14. Agreed Chorizo. And nw always brings their best of whatever they’ve got against us. I hate the feel of this game. I am nervous.
  15. Remember in 96 when Alvarez didn’t have enough sense to have Samuel kneel and run out the clock?
  16. Yeah it was a chance to put northwestern in the bucket early. I always get uncomfortable letting these guys hang in there. Over the years we’ve dropped some we had no business losing to them.
  17. Yeah folks take a Relax Roxane breath. You truly cannot win em all.
  18. We’ll I’ll give Almora credit on that robbery of Neck Tat.
  19. I want to make it clear, I have no truck with this argument here. I just want to, in the general sense, applaud the usage of the colloquialism "cubs fan." I really hope it gains traction. Next time somebody cuts you off, drives through a puddle and splashes you while you're walking, takes the last cold beer, or what have you... Skip the profanity. Tell them what a cubs fan they are.
  20. I knew I wasn’t the only one anticipating outrage there.
  21. As said if they’re hurt, fine sit them. In general you have to still try to win. Skube I don’t want to have an argument. But it definitely is a thing that you try in these situations. For example when your team is toast and you’re giving your call ups a try this time of year like often happens, when you play a game versus someone with playoff implications you probably play your best roster. It’s etiquette or an unwritten rule, whatever you want to call it. A year or more down the road the shoe could be on the other foot and you’ll expect the same from others. Again not saying Maddon should play hurt guys. But he definitely has to try to win.
  22. I’m glad they have stopped blowing plays dead in those situations. Granted this one was obvious but so what? We’ve seen plenty ruined by the whistle over the years.
  23. If players are hurt then that's up to the team to figure out. However, it's been a known thing in baseball since forever that you play your best when facing somebody who has any sort of playoff implication. It is and always has been unacceptable to mess up another team's future by laying down.
  24. The Cardinals do hold the tie breaker, but all it gets them is home field advantage in the case of a tie for the Division. Which could mean another celebration down at Busch. Nothing new to this group.
