  1. I was just in a grocery store and there was a bell ringing. I thought, nah it couldn't be. But it was. On a 92º day the Salvation Army was there collecting. I guess I just associate that with November/December, it seemed totally out of place today to me.
  2. I'll give credit where it's due. Rock did a great job of putting the whammy on Bell there.
  3. Brault's forearms remind me of the doodling in the margins of a middle school kid's notebook.
  4. The announcers cannot let it go. It was a ball, but Diaz brought it on himself. He chucked the bat and headed to first. If it's at all close the ump calls it a strike when the player does that. It's stupid egotistical nonsense, but that's what they do. He should've known better. I hate it when a Brewer makes that mistake. I won’t fault the batter. The ump was late calling that a strike That was bad on the ump in every way. Good for the brewers. Changed that inning Like I say, it's dumb and egotistical of the umpires, but you see it all the time. When the pitch is somewhat close and would be ball 4, if the batter busts out of the box before being awarded first base, the ump usually rules a strike. And of course the call is always late because the ump bases the call off of what the batter did after the pitch.

  6. That walk was absolutely terrible. Up 0-2, LeBlank was clearly taking all the way, never going to swing.
  7. Your post intrigued me to check his twitter. As you can most certainly imagine, Kato is not enjoying tonight's game.
  8. Especially since the MLB average is about one triple per day (across all MLB games). Seems like the Brewers have given up far more than their share. I've noticed that as well. Vogt had 2 against the crew even! Going back through the Giants series, the Brewers have surrendered 10 triples including tonight's leadoff. I knew it seemed like a lot but that's nuts.
  9. It seems like a ridiculous amount of triples given up lately.
  10. I'd love it if somebody would hit a HR of Bumgarner and then stick the bat between their legs and gallop around the bases on their bat horsey. Maybe take off their hat and yell "yee haw" at the ol' Madbum too while they're at it. There's just something about seeing a hothead jerk get antagonized that I'll always love. Back on topic, I concur with having no interest whatsoever in seeing him wear a Brewers uniform.
  11. I am not sure that should be blue. Woodruff had a couple of really nice Sundays in a row a few weeks ago, hopefully he can give us another stellar 8 inning stint. Be really nice to get the split and get pointed back in the right direction with hopefully Hiura up tomorrow. I would have only put the "help him get going" part in blue, myself.
  12. There’s a huge difference between farmed and wild caught shrimp. I don’t bother buying farmed. Besides the environmental and ethical issues, they just aren’t very good, and probably not good for you either.
  13. I made the 3800 mile drive to Wisconsin in time to have a steak and watch the last 3 innings of a Brewers win with my Dad on Fathers Day.
  14. Well to no surprise, Ryu got NL pitcher of the month. I think Woodruff's May was worthy but Ryu had the edge. For the trivia question from days ago, last Brewer to get pitcher of the month was Mr. 601 "Trevor Time in May" 2009. His May was in the midst of 18 consecutive scoreless appearances, each exactly 1 inning.
  15. Players these days have nothing on his mustache skills. He had 3 of them!
  16. Fidelity Restorative RTI
  17. It's been 10 years. Anything else I can think of to say would be a dead giveaway.
  18. Marcum or Guerra? Edit-Scratch that, I think I remember who it was. I believe it was a pitcher who originally started his career with another NL Central team? The Brewers were his only NL Central team.
  19. Woodruff has to be considered for NL pitcher of the month for May. 4-0, 33 IP, 5 ER, 37K. Anybody care to guess the Brewers' last NL pitcher of the month?
  20. Wow, surprised I’m the last poster for the thread. I’m happy to see Gomez have some great moments right away up with the Mets. Despite his baseball flaws he was a lovable player. Tons of enthusiasm and potential. I always lauded his game changing potential. Remembering back, the 2nd somersault wasn’t necessary but it was hilarious. Edit: I intended to link to video of the double somersault play but apparently I overestimated my internetting skills.
  21. The way I figured his pace at this point was: take his insane 19 hr / 44 games played, cross multiply by x / 113 games remaining, because I want him to be healthy forever and play every single day. Solve for x and add 19 and you get 67.7954, which seems about right.
