  1. Officially time for the Coleman Crow Medicine Show baby
  2. In my opinion Luis Arraez is one of the most overvalued players in baseball. We have enough noodle bat table setters.
  3. One of those really weird series where each team is lucky they did not get swept
  4. The lack of swing and miss from this bullpen so far this year is absurd
  5. One good outing doesn't change the fact that his velo needs to return to be able to be an effective closer. The stuff still isn't as good as last year.
  6. He is a 4th OF type. We have 2 important OFs that are hurt so of course he's been thrusted into an everyday role. He is not supposed to be a starter.
  7. I don't think I have seen a worse hitting everyday position player than Joey Ortiz.
  8. Henderson is really the pen arm out of the two if we have to pick. He'd be a really good one too.
  9. The raw stuff is nasty. Has to dial in the command. Thats a good start though
  10. I don't see an end in sight with the left side of the infield, Sal swinging a pool noodle, and this bullpen. Can we tread water til mid May? I am dubious. April and all our leverage arms are cooked.
  11. ORTIZ AND RENGIFO. LOSER PLAYERS MAKING LOSER PLAYS. Enough is enough
  12. Not much to be optimistic about the Crew right now. To make matters worse Murph seems to be going senile. I know he isn't a tactician but cmon man BE SMART.
  13. Predictable. You pitch to Vlad? Use your ****** brain MURPH
  14. It's been clear to Stevie Wonder that his stuff is not good enough this year for that role.
  15. Megill's stuff has regressed to a point where he is not pitchable in leverage situations. Less drop on the curve and less velo on his already mediocre shaped FB. This wasn't new info. I blame Murphy 100% for being stubborn with roles for the sake of it.
  16. Demote the bum. Hell phantom IL him. Anything but leverage situations. ANY ONE with a brain knew that was gonna happen.
  17. I am willing to bet JD Thompson becomes a dude.
  18. I am normally more optimistic. But with the serious injuries this team has had to the keystone players of the offense it is difficult not to get worried. Yelich out for an extended period now really could put the team in a major hole. Turang and Wild Bill can't do it all! The bullpen's stuff has completely regressed. Some of the young starters are off to a slow start as well as the "everyday" players we are trotting out there. It is a good thing we have the best and deepest farm in baseball. Keeps the season interesting no matter what! Hopefully Chourio comes back without missing a beat and make it a moot point.
  19. Kind of feel bad for Peña. In almost 20 other systems he'd be considered the blue-chip prize of the system. Made has been so good and is so generationally talented he kind of gets lost in the shadow. After a slow start last year in High A, Peña really has adjusted well to start the season. He is about to get a whole lot of helium if it continues. Still so young for the level.
  20. Luis Rengifo had a 73 wRC+ in 541 PAs last year, Joey Ortiz had a 67 wRC+ in 506 PAs last year (54 this year). Sample matters. At some point these guys are who they are. The logic that "if they struggle in AAA, they’ll be worse in MLB" ignores how player development actually works. Every prospect faces a "jump" where they have to adjust to better scouting and more experienced pitching The real question isn't whether the prospects will struggle it’s about the ceiling. Ortiz and Rengifo have shown theirs. They are players who can't barrel MLB velocity and pitching. There is no mystery left to solve there. Ortiz glove is the only thing saving him from playing for the Savanah Bananas. Williams and Pratt are finding their footing. Even if they come up and produce a 70 wRC+ (the same as the current guys), you’re at least giving those reps to players who have the potential to adapt and become 120 wRC+ anchors. I also think Pratt has just a tick worse glove than Ortiz. Still well above average.
  21. Because it is a sample of 14 games in a game of high variance and NO ONE should make any conclusions based on a small subset of data.
  22. I disagree, I don't care about a small sample of AAA statistics. They have real talent and hit tools. The current options do not.
  23. I don't think Pratt is that far off in ability compared to Ortiz.
  24. Jett and Pratt actually have talent. The guys the Brewers are trotting out everyday have a large sample of being cheeks. It's worth a shot. It quite literally could not be worse.
