  1. Don’t lol that’s ridiculous just saying the team on the clock is not spoiling
  2. Anyone but Bodine at this point. All these mocks have me cautiously optimistic we have other players in mind.
  3. Think the Levonas pick will be super safe and open up bonus room. I need to be talked into Bodine. I do not see anything special there and would be extremely disappointed. Given the likely savings at 68.
  4. Really hoping Bodine isn’t the pick. Hoping he’s off the board before we get the chance even.
  5. Would be over the moon with Fien I have liked him a ton since early in the draft cycle.
  6. Maybe one of the first times in Skenes' career where the other guy has clearly better stuff. Skenes of course is the better more complete pitcher but I mean the Miz was absolutely eye popping today.
  7. The talent is obviously there. He is a power threat every AB. He needs to cut down the Ks. But that clip showed why you take a chance. That's a tough pitch to get the barrel to. Will he be non tendered? Most likely but maybe they can unlock something but solid depth especially if Rhys gets hurt or traded,
  8. It's not if it's when. You don't see sustained success with the second highest chase rate in the league. High swing rate and poor discipline is not a good combo. It's an unsustainable power surge too. It is driven by a 15.3% increase in pull rate on fly balls (40%, tied for 13th highest) and a 10% increase in barrel rate on those fly balls, leading to a 13.1% rise in home run-to-fly ball rate. While he’s made mechanical adjustments the EVs remain avg. Pitchers start sequencing to stop him from pulling he's neutered, At least this will only be one year since Tucker most definitely is going to get a bigger deal than what they will pay,
  9. Armstrong is not this good of a hitter. Not even close. Awesome fielder and baserunner not this good of a hitter. Wait and see.
  10. I cant believe this guy still hasn't regressed yet. Hopefully after the all star break he comes crashing back to his paltry peripherals. Pitchers need to start punishing him for his awful plate discipline.
  11. We caught him tipping pitches. That glove flutter out of the stretch has been a breaker everytime.
  12. Think Mikolas is tipping pitches when he shakes his glove it’s a breaker. If he doesn’t it’s a fastball. Someone get this to the crew ASAP.
  13. I once comped Made's prospect rise to Ronald Acuna. I think I was inaccurate with that only because of his teammate. That swing has more than shades of Acuna to it. Especially after watching him demolish us last series.
  14. Braylon Payne looks lost and totally overmatched after that hot start. Here's hoping the tools start to shine through. The stat line isn't the end all be all, but we need to start seeing some better ABs.
  15. Don't forget the (basically) first round pick and bonus slot money too. Him not striking anyone out lately is red flag. At least he isn't walking near as many batters.
  16. Interesting to see how he compares to Bauer another IL LHP from the prep ranks. If you're the Brewers do you take more of the finished product that shows command with multiple pitches? Or do you take the raw lump of clay with what could be elite stuff, but basically Ricky Vaughn (Wild Thing for the younger readers) and pray the lab can unlock him to his full potential. I'm inclined to go with the former first but I am more risk adverse lol.
  17. Oh we would be cooking with LaViolette. This is the lowest I have seen him on any big board by far. Is there that big of concerns with the hit tool?
  18. Man I really want one of the Gavins. Gavin Fien is my dream pick. I think there is a lot of Cooper Pratt (with more pop) and the potential to grow power wise is incredibly enticing. Gavin Kilen is a really fun player too already a 60 grade hit tool that will move incredibly fast through the system. Hometown kid too which is always a fun story to follow, but the kid can flat out hit. He fits their model. Also with the ABS system presumably coming to the MLB next year the brewers long con of drafting shorties can pay off. I have a friend that lives near Jack Bauer. I'm curious to see where the 102 mph hype has him landing. Last HS pitcher with that kind of velo hype was Hunter Greene and before that Riley Pint
  19. You gotta think the Brewers give him a shot as their primary utility man soon
  20. Sucks seeing Theo Gillen balling especially now given how poor Payne has looked at the plate as of late.
  21. Melvin Hernandez needs to put on some weight MiLB has him at 139 lbs. I know 7th graders heavier lol, but yeah changeup is an impressive pitch. Maybe some velo comes as he fills out. Still only 5'11 too so no guarantee. I love a good junkballer
