  1. How's his fielding percentage? Has he been adequate at 2b?
  2. I would have done 25 a year over 3 years without question. I'm a little upset by this.
  3. If it is really for three years, I am disappointed we didnt end up with him. Have to imagine it will be around 20-22 million a year. I would have done that for only 3 years in a heartbeat.
  4. I disagree with every sentence in this post.
  5. What do people think about trading Domingo to Dbacks for top prospects, then flipping those prospects (with a few others) for Archer. That way TB gets their young players instead of an OF who has already burned service time.
  6. If we can get Fulmer without giving up Burnes and Hiura, then yes, I would do it. That package is not crazy in the least.
  7. Stroman or Fulmer at the August deadline only?
  8. Very low risk, was solid last year. Why not?
  9. This could be the "hot" side trade of which HH was speaking.
  10. I wasn't saying they are going to flip him immediately, I said he coudl be flipped at "anytime" over the next 5 years. It is not going all in if you can recoup top prospects for a player down the line.
  11. That lineup is mouth watering.
  12. Ken Rosenthal‏Verified account @Ken_Rosenthal Follow Follow @Ken_Rosenthal More The #Brewers still are trying to sign free-agent outfielder Lorenzo Cain, sources tell The Athletic. Nothing changes with acquisition of Yelich.
  13. The Yelich trade sure seems like an "all-in" move to me. Not in the least bit. Hes an all-star caliber player under control for 5 years. He can be flipped for prospects at any time.
  14. Trade Santana for young controllable arms, move forward with a Braun, Broxton/Phillips, Yelich outfield. Sign a FA pitcher, and compete for the division.
  15. I think we were all very excited about Monte, but let's be honest, last season very well could have been a fluke and based on the rest of his minor league career, it certainly seems plausible.
  16. So Yelich in, Brinson out. Broxton and Domingo still around. Thinking we trade one or both of those guys and recoup some top 100 prospects right back. In Stearns I Trust.
  17. First reaction, this seems like a very even trade. Happy to not have given up pitching prospects. 5 years of control on a bat that could be superstar level in Milwaukee. Lets wrap up some FA pitching.
  18. Well this Yelich speculation has me officially rattled.
  19. If we are focused on getting Mejia along with Kipnis and Salazar, why not add one of our highly touted prospects not named Burnes or Brinson. What about selling high on Monte? I would absolutely add him if it got us over the hump for Mejia. OF will continue to be stacked and our catcher position is filled for the near future.
  20. Source? I havent seen anything on that. No real source here, just speculation. Warning Track Power summed it up best a few posts earlier: "The smoke is Crasnick's original tweet about the Brewers dealing an OF combined with High Heat's source saying the team is an AL team. Combined with Archer becoming available now after he was supposedly unavailable earlier this winter."
  21. So we can assume that plan A is to acquire Darvish. Since Darvish appears to require his destination to show that they plan to win ASAP, Stearns is also cooking up a trade with the Rays for Archer, with Domingo as the centerpiece. Darvish/Archer/Nelson (once he's back)/Anderson/Davies would be a fantastic rotation.
  22. I'm surprised that Burnes is as low as 74. Would have thought borderline top 50. I could see him and Monte jumping into the top 50 by mid-season.
  23. I understand trading for Realmuto - having a borderline elite catcher for at least 3 more years is very enticing. I also understand wanting Yelich, he is a fantastic young player. But I can't understand why people want to trade our best prospect, from our most crowded and talented position, for another outfielder. It is clear that we are overstocked in the OF, and we are eventually going to have to trade some of those players away - why would we want to bring back another OF when we could use that depth to address a real position of need like SP or reliever.
