  1. What bugs me is what most here are debating, which is Suppan vs. McClung. If Suppan needs to be removed (or when we first need another starter), the replacement should be DiFelice. Yet you know McClung would get the chance, and maybe even someone like Chase Wright before DiFelice would.
  2. I'll never understand why taking more money somewhere else is greedy. You could easily argue that it's simply common sense. Greed generally involves taking something you don't deserve or that someone else could have. If you were offered 20% more to do the same job, you'd take it too.
  3. Sorry that's how he ended the season. Numbers were actually worse in the first half though. 1.52 WHIP 4.58 ERA
  4. Yeah he did but he didn't deserve it really. 1.44 WHIP, 4.63 ERA and pretty average peripherals.
  5. Actually Wilson isn't good, or at least he wasn't last year.
  6. No prob Bruce. I tend to dig the ever-changing facial hair of Dave Bush.
  7. Is anyone else having trouble watching on MLBTV? They're telling me I'm blacked out even though I'm in Pennsylvania. I called tech support twice, and all I get is they're working on the problem and it will hopefully be solved soon. Also, why is McClung out for a second inning?
  8. at SF 1-2 Chi 2-1 Cin 2-1 at NY 0-3 at PHI 2-1 at HOU 2-1 PIT 3-0 AZ 0-1 12-10
  9. "Dont forget that Suppan is more likely to regress than he is to get better so thats a couple of games at least as well." Why is he more likely to regress than get better? He was hurt for some of last year. I don't know he'll necessarily be any better, but I don't expect him to be worse. If he is worse, there's no way it's bad enough to cost them a couple games. That's a huge impact from the performance of one player. "Regressions by Cameron and Kendall will also play big parts." I could just as easily claim that Hart, Braun, Fielder, Weeks and Hall will be better than last year. "No closer will hurt as well." So Hoffman's out for the year? Guess I missed that. My opinion is that while the pitching will definitely not be as good, the offense will be better, and possibly much better. Hart, Fielder, Braun, Hall and Weeks all fell well short of their projections for last season. All the projections for those players are to be better than they were last year.
  10. Friend just said the x-ray was negative? Anyone watching the game hear this?
  11. Why would Hardy want to move off shortstop? He's probably the Brewers' best player, and by most accounts, a good defensive shortstop. He's already said he doesn't want to move off short, and I don't see how anyone can blame him. He'll be in for a sweet payday in a couple years to play short, whether it comes from the Brewers or not.
  12. The article said he stopped at the light and only went once he saw now cars were coming.
  13. Isn't there only that one post which says the rumors are false? Unless you're referring to user comments?
  14. Bill Hall is a good third baseman.
  15. He'd probably demand more than the Brewers gave up for CC, but I doubt it would be much more. I say this for a couple reasons. One, the Brewers really gave up a lot for a rental, even if it was one of the greatest rentals ever. Two, if the Brewers traded for Peavy they'd be making a much larger financial commitment than they did for Sabathia. San Diego would also save a ton of cash by moving him, while money wasn't really a factor for Cleveland when they traded Sabathia.
  16. Did the Missouri player who was injured and subbed out for his free throws check back in after the shots? That's what I thought I saw, and that seems bush league. Can't say I've ever seen a game end that way. Hayward looked like he just lost his balance. Another heartbreaking exit from the tournament for Marquette.
  17. Wow, Missouri is good.
  18. Not to mention their defense. Acker has played pretty well all things considered, but he was eaten alive on the defensive end by bigger/stronger point guards. They missed James' defense as much as anything IMO.
  19. Hmm, is there somewhere I can hear the LePay call? I'd love to hear that. Agree with everyone's comments on the Badgers' performance. That was the most satisfying win they've had in a long time. Bohannon hit some unbelievably clutch threes. Considering how pathetic their late-game offense has been this season, I was shocked by how well they played down the stretch and in overtime. Also, Keaton Nankivil looks like he'll be a very solid starter the next two years.
