If competitive means winning somewhere between 75 and 85 games great but I would think the goal should be to win a World Series for the first time in team history.
We have to start trading guys with two years of control to get a better return. You just have to wonder why sign Hoskins if Burnes was getting traded soon after
I think the thing to do moving forward is to trade guys with two years of control remaining. Burnes should have been traded last offseason not now for this return.
As things stand now our starting pitching has gone from a big strength the last few seasons to below average. Freddy and four question marks is not a playoff rotation.
I do not understand what Arnold is doing at all this offseason. Why sign Hoskins which is a win now move just to trade Burnes for a very underwhelming return.
Without a salary cap we are have about as good a chance of winning a world series as a MAC team has of winning the collge football championship. I love baseball and more importantly the Brewers but the sport gets more ridiculous each and every year.
I'd rather avoid doing anything more to help Stearns and Cohen so unless it was a huge overpay I would avoid the Mets at all costs. Baty is brutal at third base so no thanks.
I don't want either Santana or Bauers playing everyday for this team but you can continue your Baghdad Bob routine defending everything this organization does.
You cannot be a fan of the Brewers and suggest garbage trades like this but if I am not mistaken the author is a cubs fan which makes these proposals an even bigger joke.
Its ok to criticize a move and still be a fan of this team. Some people would praise the Brewers bringing Yuni Betancourt out of retirement to play shortstop just to defend this ownership but this is just a salary dump plain and simple.
