I completely understand that signing a player like Bregman is/was a pipe dream for our team. Probably always will be. The main player I'm very disappointed that they didn't sign, was Dejong. Especially after he was signed for only $1M. He's obviously not the player he used to be, but I think his veteran presence alone, could've helped wonders with our young roster. Plus, one thing he can still do, is hit HR's and knock runs in, to replace the offense we lost when Adames left. Since we're hearing about the real possibility of Frelick playing some 3rd base, I'm fairly certain that they must not feel comfortable with Black playing there. Imo, there's no valid reason why they shouldn't have signed Dejong.
