  1. I'm not going to debate about it. We DEFINITELY didn't get any better. We lost a lot of offense. Like I said, hopefully they prove me wrong. If we win the division again, I don't think it will be in dominant fashion. At all. And then we'll get bounced from the playoffs right away.....again.
  2. Word salads. Gotta love them. Only the people that fall for them at least. If anything, it seems like maybe they're thinking it may be time for them to start thinking about selling the team. Dominating the division will only last so long, because Chicago and St. Louis aren't afraid of spending some $$ from time to time to get better, and actually give themselves a much better chance at a Ship. You ask me, I think it's obvious our domination of the division is coming to an end. At least for a while. Hope they prove me wrong.
  3. Not necessarily, because many here still won't believe it. 🙂
  4. Exactly. It's ridiculous. Like I've always said, and have been lambasted many times about, MA and the ownership group made everything sound REALLY good when they first bought the team. They said the plans were to bring a championship to Milwauke, made a big splash move to get Yelich to get the fanbase all excited and and make us they were were trying, and it's been BS since. https://fansided.com/brewers-ownership-straight-up-admits-they-re-not-serious-about-bringing-a-title-to-milwaukee At least now MA finally admits it. Basically.
  5. I highly doubt Arizona would even entertain trade offers for him.
  6. Exactly. Plus, muscle weights more than fat. It's very easy to gain 25 lbs of fat in that amount of time, so it has to at least be possible, to gain 25lbs of muscle.
  7. Yeah, uh-huh. They're REALLY trying to get better. SUUUUURE they are. Seems like they're not even trying to stay competitive this season Offensively at least.
  8. Usually not without "help" at least. Do you think it's possible there may be a little jealousy within your opinion, though? Not meant to offend, just asking. All of our bodies react differently to things of this nature. Maybe he put in a boatload of work in the gym?
  9. It's very difficult to be very optimistic about this season, when apparently they're seriously considering having Frelick play some 3rd base, and wouldn't pay a measly $1 - $2M to have Dejong be a veteran leader, and recoup some of the HR's and RBI's we lost by Adames leaving.
  10. Serious question. I'm curious. How does anyone know for certain that PED's can't help a person gain that much muscle over a few months? Especially if they hit the weight room big-time, at the same time? All of our bodies are different, and react differently to enhancers, medications, etc.
  11. We have no reason to think he's known as a cancer or anything, so yes, he has a lot of experience that could be great for our younger team. All we would have needed from Dejong, is be a mentor/role model type to help our young players hit some HR'S, play solidish defense, and drive some runs in. Paying him $2M(double) would've been well worth the risk. Those types are great no matter what sport it is.
  12. If their plan is to actually have Frelick play 3rd periodically, then I only have 1 thing to say. May God have mercy on us this season. If I was GM, I would have gladly paid Dejong $2-3M no matter how he plays. His veteran presence in the clubhouse alone, would've been worth paying him that.
  13. Imo, you overvalue our prospects, which is to be expected since you're a fan. Why would they trade us Baty AND a top 30-40 of theirs, for only 1 minor league pitcher of ours, who hasn't shown much? That just doesn't make sense to me.
  14. Most people here probably wouldn't be. The Mets probably would be though. They'd probably hang up the phone, after laughing first. Baty was one of their top prospects not long ago, and he's still fairly young. They won't just give him to us for a couple of our low/lesser known prospects, 1 of which, is absolutely horrible. Stearns didn't become stupid overnight.
  15. Hitting dingers and knocking in RBI's is exactly what we need to replace what we lost from last year. Sign him asap please!
  16. That reason alone, is why it's highly unlikely that Milwaukee would even consider Stroman. Basically no chance. They won't spend more for any young players with upside, so why would they spend $$ for an old pitcher on the decline?
  17. Agreed. Definitely shouldn't overpay him, but his veteran presence and power would help a lot.
  18. DeJong has a much more proven track record than both of them. So that alone, would make me more comfortable, than having the other 2 platooning back and forth.
  19. I think he'll retire, but he's such a Prima Donna now, I really don't care what he does.
  20. What He'd "offer" would be being much better than Monasterio or Dunn. That's all we'd need him to be.
  21. I completely forgot Turner is still available. I'd be fine with him on a 1 yr deal, but even at his age, he'll probably want more than MA is willing to pay.
  22. Now that you say that, comparing him to Overbay is probably pretty accurate.
  23. Some have acted that way on many other posts in the past. Not only towards me either.
