  1. Ugh, the PSU game. I went to it, and watching the Badgers run 95 plays and get 10 points...I had no words. Part of it was I took young kids and any words I might have used would have been bad. Also, I probably hate PSU more than any other Big Ten team. Losing to them is the worst. That is the only game I wish they had back.
  2. Some people seem more invested in Love's failure than success. I don't get it.
  3. Funny to me that the takeaway for many was Jordan Love's performance. No, he wasn't very good, but dude is staring at playing at GEHA (Arrowhead) in his first start. I would say that special teams, Newman, the line, and the OC had a worse game. They gave Love very little help. When Bojorquez started punting well at GB, people wondered how Buffalo could have given up on him. Perhaps we see why now. He seems poor at holding. Competent special teams probably wins the game for GB. Crosby makes two FG instead of missing, Taylor's miscue doesn't gift them 3 points before halftime. now it's 10-6. Plus, when Love got GB down to the KC 24 in the fourth, perhaps the playcalling is different if a field goal is an option because they aren't down 13 points. Maybe Love doesn't throw the INT. I know, change one play, the butterfly effect, but my takeaway wasn't Love's poor play, it was a lot of other poor performances.
  4. This is from the first page, and the first page only, of Redszone's thread on Miley: Ok, go ahead and kill everyone in charge. Good lord. Embarrassing. Absurd. Just indefensible. Sell the team. Inexcusable I, for one, have been enjoying the Great Alignment. Willful Uncompetitiveness This organization makes Scrooge look thrifty. I’m not understanding the logic. Could have brought back a prospect or two. This is straight up stupid. How did he even wind up on waivers, shouldn't declining his option have made him a free agent? Just absolutely inexcusable decision here. I’m about done as a fan. What a giant middle finger to the fans. But hey, at least the Reds have 4 mascots. Just absolutely embarrassing I love me a good message board meltdown. But it is odd that they didn't pick up the option and trade him for something, anything! Right?
  5. Your gif had more defenders in the frame than the Jets had all night.
  6. Turns out CopperFit provides immunity to Covid. Rumor has it Nugenix is better than a vaccine as well. Plus the fact that, SHE'LL like it, too (wink).
  7. Nice. Brewers sign a Gold Glove finalist for their outfield.
  8. So, the same day Stearns got Gott, you suggest he hires Hyers?
  9. There is a specific person who posts on here who would of called that dumpster diving as they are not a big named player. Two of the 4 OF's that the Braves acquired the Brewers tried acquiring during the off season also. Wrong, that's not at all dumpster diving, in my book. You know what it is?? It's being aggressive. Look what happened because the Braves decided to get aggressive. They are still playing. John Curtiss and Daniel Norris, is NOT being aggressive. They were nothing moves, other than to add some depth to the bullpen. Very Meh moves. How'd they work out?? You left out Escobar. Where is that on the agressiveness scale?
  10. I would just trade the pick and try to get multiple first round picks either in the current draft or the next. Really that is what the Lions should be doing they are not 1 player away from competing nor are they 2 or 3 away. They almost need a whole roster flip besides a few players here and there on offense and defense. Be bad for two more seasons and build a core is what the Lions really need to be doing. Start with the offensive and defensive line and move from there. What is the main reason a team such as the Lions doesn't trade away a bunch of players at the deadline for draft picks? Happens in MLB, less so in NBA because they are often matching salaries, but you get the point. Is there some rule I am unaware of? Lions could have 12-15 draft picks, take the cap hits from the traded players, at least sell some hope, and then in the second year of those rookie contracts, go big on some FA and turn over the roster. What am I missing?
  11. Got all my money back in my AMEX account today. From LDS Game 5 through Game 7 of LCS.
  12. Have they tried turning the computer off and back on again? That may fix it.
  13. Legit hate Iowa. They are a rival like Minnesota, only with a good football program.
  14. I too would rather we have consistent winning teams. The more opportunities you have your odds are better to win it all eventually. And it is a hell of lot more fun to follow a team in contention every year than watching your favorite team have fire sales and stink most of the time like the Marlins and others. It's an interesting discussion. I lean toward staying in contention, because it's a long season and a good team makes the summers that much more enjoyable. And those who say they want the winner get spoiled immediately. How many Cubs and Red Sox fans said, "Just give me ONE World Series in my life!" and quickly became impatient for the second one. Had a similar discussion with my friend. His son was all-conference and all-state in football, but the team lost in the playoffs. My son was a reserve who got to play some, but the teams he was on won state two years in a row. Who had the better experience?
  15. I don't know how to embed a tweet. Jeff Jones tweeted: "Listening to Mozeliak on the Zoom and from my own reporting being around the club as much as I have, I would be very surprised if Stubby Clapp wasn’t the leading candidate to take over as #stlcards manager." Stubby? Clapp? Just checked out his bio. Cardinal through and through. 11 years in the organization as a player, and has been a AAA manager and first-base coach with the major league team.
  16. Not sure he could do anything with fastballs, either. There was that 98 mph pitch from Morton that they showed in slo-mo. It appeared the ball was almost in the catcher's glove before he started the swing. The whole team was a tick behind on fastballs in the series. So many middle-plate fastballs that were just fouled off to the opposite side. But hey, nobody has complained about Hiura in a few days. Silver lining!
  17. Since they beat the Mets 16 days ago, there’s been a whole lot of despair in watching this team for me.
