  1. He won’t be. It’s a Willits / Steele Hall situation where he’ll go top 10 after flying up boards. Maniscalco also only turned 17 a month ago. He’s 100% our pick if the draft was last week. We will take Taj Marchand or Ebel’s brother.
  2. Sure feels like all the full season teams are settling in and ready to make a run at second half championships. This is gonna get good.
  3. I feel like at this point last year I was all in on 17 year olds Willits and Steele Hall… Sure feels like Maniscalco is going to be this year’s obvious Brewer that flys up draft boards.
  4. Well Frias looks cool as hell, which is half of the equation for being a top prospect.
  5. I think we are going to pull a Fischer/Dinges and draft Zion Rose, but as a catcher.
  6. “Brewers shortstop Ricki Moneys checks in fifth on the strength of a 109 mph 90th percentile exit velocity, a 111 mph max exit velocity, and better-than-average contact rates and swing decisions. This type of power was seen in 2025 from players such as Mariners outfielder Yorger Bautista and Tigers infielder Cris Rodriguez, but those players showed other flaws, such as chase rates above 30% or in-zone contact rates below 80%—areas in which Moneys has not shown weakness thus far. The 6-foot infielder is already a RoboScout favorite.“ Some EV data on Moneys from BA today.
  7. I don’t think we are trading him. Bauers and Vaughn are going to be free agents.
  8. I think they said yesterday on their broadcast that they’ve had 18 rainouts.
  9. I will personally drive Frias to Wilson.
  10. Frias and Martinez need to be in Wilson next week. That would become a very fun team real quick.
  11. And all four hits went for extra bases. A double and three HRs.
  12. DSL Blue is insane. More HRs today, with 16 year old Leanders Matos hitting his 3rd.
  13. Should also be noted that 2022 year included spending double the 2nd round slot value for Miz.
  14. Back on my BS where if it takes too long to update the box score, I automatically assume big inning.
  15. Ever since the Dominican operation really started humming, we’ve essentially used that to build up all our positional depth. This has freed up rounds 11-20 to go for bigger swings than just depth, and full rosters that allow for HS pitching supplementation. Jumping the gun a bit, but this DSL group looks like maybe the deepest we’ve ever had. There may not be much room at either Arizona or Wilson to get ABs for everyone next year. My wacky prediction: An entire draft of pitching outside of the first rounder. My other wacky prediction: Miz-Mania opens doors for us signing guys that we probably couldn’t before (Levonas), and potentially a bit cheaper than we’d expect.
  16. The DSL Blue team is an absolute juggernaut, even with Gold having most of the big 2026 names (and being no slouches themselves). This is going to be a fun class to follow.
  17. Just a few waaaay too early DSL stats: There are 51 teams in the league. Both Brewers teams are top 10 in OPS. Brewers Gold leads the league in HRs, Blue is 8th. Both are top 5 in slugging, with older teams all ahead of them. Gold is the 4th youngest team in the league.
  18. Fun fact from the Wilson pregame show: Wilson has the worst batting average in the league, but the second highest OBP. Ebel and Handelfrey are 1-2 for league leaders in walks.
  19. As we all should. He’s gonna be a top 10 pick.
  20. We’ve drafted him once already too.
  21. Granted I’m only following our box scores, but the amount of power that our DSL teams are showing compared to the opponents is jarring. This seems like an awesome class of IFAs, and the holdovers seem to have taken a step too.
  22. With the new CBA, there have been talks of changes to the draft… I would be very surprised if we didn’t gorge ourselves potentially one last time on high school picks. Feels like we’ve been building for this very moment.
  23. It’s like that at every level. The fact that every stateside team is above .500 is pretty crazy.
