  1. ** See Hendry Mendez (traded for Oliver Dunn) who was basically our equivalent of a Lameda, Alastre, Rodriguez, DiTuri, etc who is now looking good as a 21 year old in AA.
  2. That slider (sweeper?) sure does slide (sweep?). I like that all the kids are ground ballers with the potential for velocity gains.
  3. The real market inefficiency we are taking advantage of is the Polish.
  4. Quintana is going to break out eventually. We have to remember that almost every single one of our international kids are extremely young for their level. We are pushing them hard. Not everyone is going to be Pena / Made. Some of these guys are going to take a bit and are going to repeat levels.
  5. Let’s say we kept Smith and let Patrick go… Is this now the “Chad Patrick” thread?
  6. Underslot college bat at 20. Ethan Conrad would be ideal as I think without the injury he’d be a top guy. 75% of our slot equals out to around the 28th pick. I think we are going to go a little under slot with LHP Uli Fernsler at 32 (BA ranked #71). Joey Broughton (2024 LHP 13th Rounder, BA ranked #168) went to high school five miles down the road. We will probably go very safe with the 68th pick as we’d lose it completely if we can’t sign again. I expect some huge money saving there.
  7. Check out Hendry Mendes' AA stats for this year (traded for Oliver Dunn, same signing class as Chourio). He's definitely a Brewer at heart. https://www.milb.com/player/hendry-mendez-694230
  8. Would be neat if we thought it was a down year in the DSL, but we actually switched it up to just be stacked in pitching. Venezuelan bats are old news. We are a Nicaraguan pitching pipeline now.
  9. The monthly splits for all those Biloxi guys are pretty nuts. Lara and Luke Adams are being held down by terrible Aprils too.
  10. He’s got a cool body type. Long limbs, tiny torso, kind of hunchy. He’s listed as 6’3” but I bet he pitches way bigger.
  11. I really like Dubanewicz. Seems like between the late round picks and the Priester trade, we want those back rotation guys to be pitching to contact.
  12. I wish they’d add some age context to this as our R, A, A+, and AA all seem to be the youngest teams in the leagues.
  13. Will Adams ever be treated as an actual big time prospect? He's been maybe the best bat in all of the minors for nearly 2 months now and no one in the prospect world wants to talk about it. Batting leadoff (29 games, 93 ABs), he has a .312/.508/.624 slash line....
  14. Luke Adams' April slash line is actually worse than it looks. The last 7 games of April accounted for 7 of his 13 hits for the month, all but two of his 2Bs, and all 4 of his HRs. That's when he took off, it just happened to be buried under an absolutely terrible start. Turned his .118/.297/.157 slash line into a .173/.326/.387 in the last week of the month.
  15. I’m all in on Conrad as a cheap injury guy with our first.
  16. What does the data say on Di Turi? Any EV stuff? He’s sneaky put together a great year for a teenager in A ball. Gonna out OPS Made soon enough.
  17. I love that all the scouts going to see the A+ Dodgers have to watch Baez and Arenamo’s weirdo swings work.
  18. Looked it up and Knoth went into early August. My bad, remembered it as June/July.
  19. Baez and Alastre have been very good the last few weeks for the Rattlers. No power, but holding their own as 19 year olds in A+. Both started off absolutely terrible so the stats won’t look good, but they are fueling this turnaround just as much as the big bats.
  20. Hell yeah. Any word on Knoth? Pretty sure they (Him, Broughton, and Robinson) all went down at the same time last year.
  21. The transition from low levels being the favorite child to now A+ and up all being stacked and fun lineups is wild.
  22. Anyone got a velocity on Dubanewicz? Whole lotta ground balls.
  23. Dubanewicz looks like he’s 90% arms and legs. Very short torso. 1-2-3 first on 9 pitches. Didn’t get a read on velocity.
