  1. Renz with a good outing. This entire group of high schoolers from the past draft have all had nice lines so far in Arizona. Then next year we have the Tommy John trio of Knoth, Broughton, and Robinson (who are all within 3 months in age of each other) joining them in Carolina to piggyback and build up stamina. Could be a pretty crazy pitching staff.
  2. Just wanted to point out that out of the 13 players who have been in for the ACL Brewers tonight, all but four are 18 or under (with three of those four being 19). The Mariners have one 18 year old and two 19 year olds. Just unbelievably young teams in the lower minors.
  3. Whoever turned around the Latin America operation deserves a statue.
  4. Baseball America came out with their updated Top 100. Made - 6 Pratt - 28 Mis - 35 Quero - 66 Pena - 79
  5. Dorchies with a real nice outing. Reminder that him and Renz were the two youngest players in their entire draft class.
  6. Man we just have fun starting pitchers going almost every level, every day.
  7. Letson was cruising with 4 straight K’s. Then a two out infield single, infield single, and walk to load the bases. Bases loaded K to the end the inning.
  8. Jacob MisiorowskiJesus Made Is probably #1 based on hype, but I'm not so sure that he's better than Pena and Payne (neither of which would be put at #1). The three headed Hydra of MadePenaPayne comes in at #2.Luis PenaBraylon PayneCooper PrattJeferson QueroMike BoeveBishop LetsonLogan HendersonEric BitontiErnesto MartinezTyler BlackRobert GasserCarlos F RodriguezJadher AreinamoJosh AdamczewskiMarco DingesBrock WilkenRyan BirchardLuis Lara Yoho, Durbin, and Patrick are big leaguers.
  9. With Hayden Robinson and Joey Broughton both getting TJ at the same time (July-ish), hopefully we get a little peak at them late late in the season.
  10. How does Lameda look? Listening to the game and both ABs sounded like hard hit line drives (single and unassisted double play by the 1B).
  11. Meccage hitting 97. Looks great. The Carolina callups are very intriguing. Giving the guys that were in the ACL last year the first cracks at it. Feels like there is a huuuge logjam of infielders who are having to play OF for the Mudcats.
  12. Miz possibly gonna be #1 on BA’s Hot Sheet this week. 11 IP, 4 hits, 1 BB, 17 Ks
  13. Is that a 2025 IFA signing that couldn't sign officially til he turned 16?
  14. I don't think Craig Yoho is the prototype that we really should be looking at from the past couple drafts. He's an outlier due to injuries and never actually being able to be seen. Marco Dinges probably falls into this category from last draft. Josh Adamczewski (Letson for the pitching version) is the prototype for current Brewers drafts. Round 11-20 high schoolers who are under the radar and underrated. We drafted a right handed clone of him this past year in Cooper Malamazian. He didn't sign, but he's been awesome at Indiana as a Freshman. https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=malama000joh
  15. Well every team is accused of signing kids years before they’re supposed to, so we theoretically have multiple classes already “signed” with these guys at the helm. This year is also the first time we’ve seen the pitchers really breakthrough (there are 8 internationally signed pitchers on Carolina’s roster alone).
  16. And Bitonti leading the league in doubles (and second in walks, behind our own Walling) without a HR. ** Late Edit. He actually is tied for 7th in all the minors in doubles. Only players ahead of him are AAA and have played more games.
  17. Mudcats win? Obviously. They're great and I love them all like they're my children. Mudcats lose? Doesn't matter, had stats.
  18. It’s funny that you can see the switch flip on Carolina when they realize they’re infinitely more talented than everyone else.
  19. Any updates on Pena, Payne, and Adamczewski? I think both Payne and Adamczewski had taken foul balls off the ankle in previous days (and some HBPs). Pena, I’ve heard nothing.
  20. Adamczewski, Payne, and Pena all being varying levels of hurt (after Made was banged up already this year) is a bit of a buzzkill. The bottom half of the lineup being tough outs has carried them in more than a few games. A big hit or two from someone back there almost every game, especially with the top half walking so much.
  21. They called a balk after the first groundout. Guy hit a double the next pitch.
  22. I swear Made started 0-10 too…
  23. And they’re doing it with a roster of teenagers.
  24. I only follow box scores, but I swear Bitonti has turned a couple double plays throwing a guy out at 3rd after a putout this season. This one with the bases loaded and no outs in the 9th. Still getting to show off his 3B skills.
  25. Why was Dinges subbed out at DH? He’s been on a tear.
