  1. Out of the four high schoolers taken so far, the oldest one turned 18 less than a month ago. EDIT - Also, we only seem to draft short pitchers (6 foot) or freakishly tall pitchers.
  2. They legit just let Ginger go to town in these drafts. She's not long for her position in this front office.
  3. I wonder if these small school transfer NIL deals for their junior years are “one and done” (money-wise)? Makes room for the next draft prospect.
  4. A scrappy outfielder from Boston College?!? Is my dream of fielding 9 Frelicks coming true?!
  5. I assume at this point she only shows up for day 2 and they give her 10 of the 17 picks.
  6. 2024 was a worst case scenario for fans that don’t buy in. We reached for a no name first rounder, paid nobody slot except for Meccage, and then didnt sign our biggest swing. We ended up with a pretty great draft anyway. Just gotta trust these guys.
  7. I think we are done with high schoolers until we start to get real weird with it. Strictly college savings until then. Dorchies and Tobias in the 9th and 10th last year has really thrown me for a loop. No idea what to expect there.
  8. They saw a pitcher that wasn’t available in the division (Pirates) and got a chance to get him for a pretty cheap price in hindsight. We all need to quit acting like the Brewers aren’t spending money when they’re actually just spending money wisely.
  9. Back in the 00’s, this site would be down for the entire draft because this was THE place for draft coverage. Not for Brewers, everyone. Was it Patrick that handled all that? Toby? I believe he actually got hired somewhere. I’m bad with names and it was 20 years ago.
  10. Also Miz and Morrison were a WWE tag team.
  11. Cairone was an obvious one. Ticks all our pitcher boxes.
  12. 75% would put them at about a mil in savings (equal to the 28th pick slot).
  13. I like it. Should be below slot, will probably be an OF.
  14. Is Kade Anderson going to play a single game in the minors? (I assume he’s going to the Angels) EDIT - Man Bremner has been falling in mocks
  15. I’m still leaning towards Kiley’s mock on ESPN. Too much wacky stuff there for it to be made up.
  16. Just keep drafting like you’re insane. These last two drafts have been so much fun just due to how little we or anyone else seems to know what’s going on. i feel like we lost out on a couple late round signings just due to how long the Levonas talks went on. Would have loved to get Malamazian in… So I’d like to avoid that whole ordeal again.
  17. Good. The Dodgers had 6 runs on 1 hit going into the last inning.
  18. Arizona Brewers taking off when Adamczewski joins them. Guy just gets everyone hitting.
  19. Very odd. Every other team's write up has like 3 guys to look for at their next pick, and then they name drop like 10 guys for us including ones that aren't even in the Baseball America database. That being said, all those names certainly check out as "Brewer guys". Coy James (75% of slot) and Brady Ebel (slot-ish) definitely seems like something we would do, along with Luke Hill and Davalan as underslots in the second. Could see this as very hitter heavy at the top, as most of the starting pitching spots in Carolina are already spoken for. Ideally we stock up the Arizona rotation like we did this year in the late rounds.
  20. I think Lara is currently in the organization that would be most likely to value a guy like him.
  21. Listing these guys in a two round mock draft article is wild. Kiley clearly has some insider info on us.
  22. Kiley posted his final mock draft on ESPN. Has us drafting Marek Houston at 20 (also says Daniel Pierce and Coy James are linked) with Kayson Cunningham at 32. The Brewers blurbs had some wacky names that he said we are attached to: Coy James - HS, SS, #49 on BA Top 500 Jaden Fauske - HS, OF/C, #54 Charles Davalan - Arkansas, OF, #62 Devin Taylor - Indiana, OF, #34 Cooper Flemming - HS, SS, #102 Blaine Bullard - HS, OF, #151 Luke Hill - Ole Miss, 3B, #105 Brady Ebel - HS, SS, #42 Remo Indomenico - HS, OF, #478 C.J. Hughes - HS, SS, #215 Tyler Finkbeiner - HS, RHP, Unranked in Top 500 Brisen Tweedy - HS, RHP, Unranked in Top 500 A couple of these guys are just screaming "LATE ROUND BREWERS HIGH SCHOOLER". Finkbeiner and Tweedy might as well already be 11-20 picks.
  23. With how deep we are with young players, I’d say pretty much everyone in A ball or lower is off the table. It’s not because of their value, but due to their lack of value. We are flush with penny stocks. They add nothing to a trade in the grand scheme and them being added can only hurt us. Those guys can be traded another day after we’ve fattened them up. I think Pratt is our big prospect trade piece that we should be dangling. Value may be at an all time high there.
  24. I just have a feeling with Handelfrey. He’s going to be a star.
