  1. Yeah you just hope it settles down, bullpens can have a bad week or 2 but then get back to normal. Like you says grind…
  2. Wentz taking over as starter for some reason and having a career bounce back year would be pretty typical for the Vikings.
  3. Maybe it's the Brewers and maybe it was the losing streak down the stretch last season. But I think this is the most talented team they have had post Rodgers, there should be more excitement than there is. All that youth is now entering their primes and there is very solid depth across the roster. Can't wait until Detroit game, I think we're going to smoke em and then the enthusiasm will start.
  4. Gasser would make sense to fill Hall’s long role if he is ready for it, he threw 44 pitches last outing.
  5. I think he has blown 5 now. Tonight, the dbacks debacle and the Padres game when Durbin had the walk off. You may be right, I don’t remember the others.
  6. 81 wins and 31 to go. Just don’t make losing a habit and tonight is what you like to see after 2-4 stretch.
  7. I sort of glazed over the debate earlier but if it is now whether we should be happy that Wily hit 2 dingers on us in a tight game gotta say I am not.
  8. It sounds like some brewer fans were happy to fall behind 1-0. I really haven’t thought about Adames all season. Don’t get me wrong, I liked him as a brewer, but that is over.
  9. Myers threw 66 pitches against the Mets 2 weekends ago. I was thinking about the stretched out thing though and with Hall out we might need Myers before Sunday in long duty. Hopefully not. If Patrick can be called up and then sent down without too much disruption it's probably the better chance for not taxing the bullpen.
  10. I was pretty surprised to look at their record this morning. Between them and the Dbacks the down the stretch schedule probably isn't as tough as it looked when people were comparing it to Cubs a month or so ago when division was tight.
  11. Well, bWAR sort of tells us that it is either a clear 2 man race between Brice and Freddy or that indeed Yelich should be on the poll. I don't follow fWAR as much, mostly because I look at the ESPN stat page a lot and that uses bWAR, but it interesting how big a discrepancy they have on Turang. And it has been a pretty big gap his whole career.
  12. Just looked at Dunn's AAA stats. Yuck. I think that project can be ended any time so that would be my choice. If Zamora is a guy who they hope moves into a utility MLB role next season than why not?
  13. Wouldn't Myers get the start on Sunday? He last pitched Tuesday I think but maybe they need him before Sunday.
  14. A lot of us said 4-4 road trip was all we needed. Mission accomplished, today was a big win.
  15. Well, I think we all knew it was going to tighten eventually, can’t win every game forever in baseball. But yeah, not a great series to rediscover what a losing streak feels like.
  16. Jaire missing practice after some knee “treatment”, also had his knee drained in July. Supposedly should be back by week 1 but someone should probably tell Harbough that Jaire doesn’t play at less than 100%. Packers may have dodged a bullet here.
  17. Well, had we known only one today could have risked McGill yesterday and got the win. Doubleheaders can really make it tough to work the bullpen through.
  18. Someone already said Q, Myers, and Anderson tomorrow. Mears and Miller can probably go if needed, it’s a game they will probably surrender before running anyone else out before Cubs series.
  19. After last night they basically think they should call up AAA guys, surrender the series and move on to the wildcard race. We have owned them for a few years I guess,I wasn’t aware of that feels like edlr has been brewer killer.
