Crickets over here, at least the Brewers are winning but don’t expect it to hold up the way the nights going.

Well Lauer seems to be pitching well enough as a #6 to at least be in the mix as the lefty to add to our big 3 over the next 3 years. Small and Ashby probably have the inside track but Lauer has had a few nice outings this year.

1. Bucks force game 7, can't remember the last time they played one(if it was Philly I do remember) so excited for an actual NBA elimination game that I care about 2. It is on a Saturday night! AND 3. I actually feel OK about about going to crowded bars to watch a game again! I don't expect them to win but not nearly as invested in the Bucks as I am the Brewers/Packers/Badgers so a little less stressful to watch. That said I was pretty pissed on Tuesday night. Man it would be nice to end KD's season after that.

I think Nelson was at 199 when he injured his shoulder so we may not want to bring this up.

Forgot there was a game today got caught up in work, seems like it is always getting swept by the Reds or Pirates that knocks us off stride but I sure it's just because I remember it more when we lose to perceived lesser teams. At least we got beat by a good pitcher today but it doesn't matter much with this offense.

It's not an elimination game so seems like if he isn't ready they would wait a game for any emergency attempt at playing. Probably just something to try and get in the Bucks heads and turn the momentum but who knows. Didn't Reggie's hammy get cured by some overnight miracle back in 96?

Has Hader ever pitched 3 games in a row before? Seems like he did fine but have to think he needs a couple of days now.

Yeah only 82 pitches for Houser but to be fair he gave up the dinger and had 2 lefties coming up.

The crummy pitcher with the 6+ ERA who walks too many has now set down 12 straight with 7 K's and has yet to issue a walk. Figures

sort of letting this guy off the hook after it looked we would run him out quickly through the first 2 hitters.

I always pay attention to the high water mark, especially double digits!

Sort of wish they would take a chance and save Hader but a win is a win, have to lock them down.

Rodgers could blow out his knee week 1 and that Broncos pick becomes top ten, I think this is overblown, we don't know where those picks end up and the uncertainty of it is why they get more picks now than if they traded on draft night. And I would argue that it is ridiculous to think a player Rodgers age has as much value a year from now as today. This season has a TON of value for anyone looking to trade for him.

I think I have said it before but I feel like there is zero chance Rodgers sits out the season, if the relationship is broken beyond repair he will be traded maybe as you say it drags to the trade deadline but I doubt it. I just don't see how it benefits the Packers to make him sit out the season and I don't buy that his trade value will be as high a year from now as it is now. Why does is make so much sense for the Packers to wait? It would be a massive distraction on their season and in the end their bottom line.

It is truly amazing how much he keeps opening his mouth and commenting on the whole Rodgers thing. I don’t know what his goal is, heck, he probably doesn’t even know. I think he knows they probably have to trade him now and is just dripping out comments to ease the fan base into that reality. They are probably waiting to see if he shows up for camp and if he doesn't then it's easier to lay the blame on him. They have a gripe about him wanting out 2 years into his contract but they can use that fact to leverage more in a trade. I think the real long term fear for the Packers brass here is if Rodgers goes to Denver or whoever and wins a SB while the Packers fall into losing the front office will probably be cleaned out including Murphy.

Pretty much par for the course this year for the Brewers but we do pull these out late. Will be interesting to see the moves we make, the rotation makes going all in pretty tempting but we have these guys for at least 3 more years.

Dang Woodruff is prone to the occasional dingers but they seem to always be solo shots

Prospective trade deadline targets?

Sorry, I can see where my comment you quoted may not have come off the way I intended, I should have put emphasis on THAT and quoted your previous post for context. I would love to have him but he has a ton of money left on his deal and is on pace for about 2.4 WAR this season. And it looks like he missed a portion of last year? The Twins were probably looking at his deal like we did with Cain, they knew the latter half of the deal would not look so great but were gambling on a WS run in the first couple of years. Remember all the hand-wringing here about not getting out from under Braun's deal when we had a chance? I guess the Twins are not as salary constrained as the Brewers but if I was them I wouldn't mind spending that money elsewhere over the next couple of season. Maybe the Twins could buy some prospects by sending some money back I just don't see Donaldson having much value without that and is probably too expensive and old for the Brewers liking. I don't have any insight into how the Twins view him though, just looked at stats and salary this morning.
