  1. Who would start tomorrow if not Lauer? Lindblom? It says undecided on ESPN.
  2. Make that 40 points Pina raised his by 64 points. 9 homers in 131 AB’s now for Pina. It’s nice when your no hit defensive backup catcher can still do damage. An AAAA throw in on a krod trade continues to pay dividends.
  3. One of them would have to go on a great run to overtake these guys but it's still possible. Probably Burnes or Peralta with their gaudy K rates since Woodruff compares more closely to Buehler/Wheeler but lacks the wins to move ahead of them. But as noted the innings of Burnes/Peralta puts them at a disadvantage as well, both barely qualify.
  4. I was just looking at the box score to see how many and was like “only 11?” But I was looking at Arieta hits given up
  5. We did give up like 8 late inning runs to the Giants twice last weekend. Cubs are not the Giants but Burnes is breezing let him go 6.
  6. Seems like they should try to wait it out and get it in, even if it starts up at 10 it is still only 5 more innings but I guess there is always tomorrow. I have no clue how they handle this stuff anymore.
  7. Ah yeah well when guys hit long fly outs to the wall with 2 outs in the 9th I usually feel sort of lucky, like we dodged a bullet. Just me I guess he certainly should have caught it.
  8. lol what? Maybe I watched the wrong replay, wasn't it just short of the wall in right by the picnic area?
  9. I didn't watch it until this morning, yikes that is a tough way to lose a game but you can argue that it was almost a HR so I guess we would have felt a bit lucky had he caught it. Like Wednesdays game after the late inning meltdown on Tuesday would really be nice to bounce back with a win today.
  10. Sheesh, I guess at least we are somewhat staggering these things
  11. Big win, I know it's the Pirates but after last night wasn't feeling great about our bullpen right now and losing a home series to these guys would have hurt. Whew
  12. Seems like a great pickup and I am glad we didn't give up any top prospects at this deadline, feel like the system needs a little more time to buildup some value and with at least 3 more years of the big 3 we have time to make bigger moves later. Also glad we kept our starting pitching depth in tact, Hauser/Lauer/Anderson have been underrated next to the aces no reason to mess with what's working.
  13. I sort of wanted him traded now but after thinking about it a Rodgers who is motivated to show everyone how right he is can't be a bad thing. Heck, I sort of think now he wanted to come back this year just to do that.
  14. It would be nice to see a brewer starter get a shutout again,it’s been so long I am starting to convince myself shutouts aren’t really all that cool anyways.
  15. Just looking at Berrios’ stats, career 4.08 ERA 4.01 FIP 9.1 bWAR in 781 innings. Sort of a mid rotation guy, thought he was better than that. Edit: similar career numbers to Zach Davies
  16. Lynn has a better era than Woody and should qualify today. But I expect him to get pounded.
