  1. Yes, especially after a second straight offseason of hearing how great the Bears are going to be. I mean, if not for a Packer coaching meltdown they would have finished last season with a 10 game losing streak. They add a couple of aging guards and the hype starts all over again.
  2. I was happy to see the Vikings look terrible now I am happy to see the Bears meltdown and blow it. Not sure why I am watching this game, hate both teams. I have to hand it to the NFL, they deliver far and away the best product in spectator sports.
  3. McCarthy struggling with the play clock and it’s been an Aikman narrative for the last few Vikings drives.
  4. McCarthy getting no help from Aikman lol. It’s one game but he doesn’t look ready yet. Could have had Rodgers ha.
  5. I thought the Bears and Williams showed promise early but it’s really turned into an ugly fest. As I type terrible pick 6 by McCarthy
  6. It’s crazy how many 59, 60 yard fg we see these days, never used to bother trying them.
  7. I went to the Detroit debacles the last 2 seasons. It's bad enough our stadium gets infested with those honolulu blue loudmouths but then the Packers lay a giant egg and it was over by halftime. I was very happy home on my couch this year but I will be there Thursday.
  8. I think the Lions passed on Parsons because they have to give Hutchison a similar contract. I would agree there is a go all in argument for that franchise though. That win sure felt good. After years of chasing this result in the draft we may finally have reached critical mass on defense where we just have too many good players not to be good. Now Wooden and LVN looks like studs? They were talking a lot on post game radio about Cooper, how he shut down Gibbs. This was probably the best offense in the NFL and we shut them down. Only negatives were the brief Love meltdown and the Tom injury but Zach has bounced back quickly before.
  9. It’s hard to overstate that, got too obsessed with the run when they can’t stop the pass.
  10. Rodgers looks pretty good but man he just can’t move anymore.
  11. After so many happy Badger football memories it’s really painful to say they are pretty much unwatchable at this point. Ugh.
  12. He is back at practice today but limited. Sort of late for him to play those games with game checks on the line but yeah you worry he got extra pissed by Micah's money. Hobbs and Reed out today. Micah full pads. Packers injury report: Jayden Reed, Nate Hobbs out; Elgton Jenkins returns
  13. Has something happened with Jenkins? I was just searching news and didn't find anything new.
  14. Sounds like Parsons may play, probably not a lot of snaps with the Thursday coming up though. I would think they would ease him in slowly with such a large investment but these are big games. Every depth chart I see has Rhyan starting at RG and Morgan a backup. If that is true it surprises me they aren't getting Morgan in starting lineup.
  15. lol tune back in means checked the score, no Bally here. I am old though, no doubt, not quit early bird special old but it was early today. 🙂
  16. Such a good looking start to the game, tune back in after dinner and yuck. We have been in a 2 wins 2 losses cycle for a couple of weeks now.
  17. I was looking at the stats last night, he is probably 3rd behind Skenes and Sanchez right now but if he can get to 20 and close the ERA gap on Skenes? Skenes probably still gets it but it's more of a race than it looked like when this thread started. Maybe we need to start a Turang MVP thread to get that moving too. 🙂
  18. It occurs to me that if this indeed means we are going to let some guys like the Walker's, Doubs, Rhyan, and Enegbare walk next offseason we may make up some of the lost draft capital in comp picks in 27. The Vikings went on a trade up binge a couple of drafts ago with future comp picks in mind.
  19. I know where you got these numbers but they don't make sense to me, at least the dead and cap saving numbers. He has $130 million guaranteed that has to hit somewhere. In general, I do agree with you about the cap though. Not talking about anyone here specifically but a lot of people still treat it like it was 10-15 years ago before the massive annual increases and cap rollover. You can get in trouble, and the rise of guaranteed money is concerning but it only takes a season to get out of cap hell and the Packers have always been good at managing it anyways.
  20. It's a big swing for the fences for this season for sure but they did just remove a big salary guy from the D in Jaire. So there was a little room to add salary on that side of the ball. It's going to cost us some players lost in FA this next offseason but the cap grows so fast I am not too worried about the salary impact at this point. The bigger risk to me is if the wheels come off and one or both of those picks become top 10. But that doesn't seem too likely right now. At least we didn't give up other picks. I did see a reporter on NFL network last night who said what she was hearing was that some in the Cowboys org had concerns with Micah's work ethic. Probably just something they are putting out there to smooth this over with the fans though.
  21. Arms race!!! Love that we are in it…
  22. Jerry talking up Clark as big part of deal in presser. He fills a need for them and most of us know Clark is still good player but I don’t know that fans will buy it.
  23. I bet Gary was offered in place of one of the firsts but Dallas didn’t bite. Then again Gary a team leader and the Packers like him. I have complained for years about the Packers not going all in, I will shut up now. 😀
  24. So there was a sense of urgency after all?
  25. Yeah that sort of threw me off the tense brewer moment that was going on. If it really happens sure maybe it belongs in game thread but from what I could find nothing really new.
