  1. I can't even come up with the words to describe how I'm feeling about this team, this series and Game 5. It just really comes down to Yo. If he pitches to his ability, we win. I'm really hoping he does just that tomorrow. If not.....
  2. If you don't want the candy, tell the kid to take a hike. Problem solved. As I do. I was just clarifying my comments after being called a 'troll'. No, i dont buy the candy either and I'm not suggesting you should buy anything. I just think you're being a bit harsh on children doing a fundraiser that allows them to go someplace. Your post made it seem like they just lie and swindle people out of money, which i have never seen personally. There have always been kids and adults walking around the lots selling candy or giving away stupid stickers and such. This is nothing new. I just thought the "young scam artists" bit was funny. Unintentionally so, but still...
  3. I think he's just trolling us now, folks. "Young scam artists"? That's a bit too rich, methinks.
  4. Doesn't matter if you don't get it. People suck. I don't trust hundreds of random people, some of which are loaded, walking past my car with any of my belongings out in the open. I just think that's, unfortunately, common sense now-a-days.
  5. This was my first playoff game. My voice is shot today. That 6th inning was insane. After the Kotsay IBB it was like watching the baseball Bugs Bunny cartoon, but instead of homers it was liners to center. Wham, a single! Wham, another single! WHAM, another single! We didn't even have time to catch our breath. The atmosphere on the way out of the stadium was awesome. Just a sea of Brewers love.
  6. With a little mini Weber you don't even need to wait 20 minutes. Yesterday I had the grill in my car maybe 5 minutes after dumping the coals. The bottom of the grill was warm to the touch but not hot. I don't get why people leave their small grills out in the open.
  7. Well with that kind of attitude I'm glad you didn't either. We were in Molitor 1 and were talked to by the same guy on the bike. We brushed him off and partied for another 45 mins or so and left on our own accord. The way we saw it was there were so many people staying after that it was gonna take them awhile to get around to everyone before demanding we leave.

  9. I seem to remember Bagwell or one of the other roided up Astros hitting one of the cables down the first base line a year or two after the stadium opened.
  10. I liked that too. He was right, his first 4 ABs were terrible and the misjudged ball in the OF was worse. Thankfully, he made up for it.

  12. I miss hearing that song. Good to see another LFC fan on board!
  13. I have to balance out the Man U nonsense.... http://live4liverpool.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/luis-garcia.jpg
  14. Ryan Braun kills baseballs. Let's get some more runs on Westbrook before he gets to 100 pitches.
  15. At the beginning of the year when the Brewers were struggling to keep their heads above .500 there were times that Roenicke's tactics made me cringe or dig my finger nails into my skull. The incredible run the team has gone on has made those moments of frustration disappear. However, it only takes one horribly managed game to send all that frustration back to the forefront. All of RR's "interesting" moves from last night have been discussed and examined so I'm not going to rehash them, however I saw this gem at brewcrewball.... Why every game Ron? Why?
  16. The Mick McCarthy "one in the hole" gif maybe my favorite thing the internet has ever conceived. Also, the Cardinals are done.
  17. Casey and Yuni with the worst back-to-back ABs of the season. Seriously, it will be humiliating if a similar late/close situation arises in the playoffs with those two hitting one after the other.
  18. I remember that game because I was in Nevada all of July 97 and this was the only Brewer game I got to see. Forgot that Scott Karl went the distance though.
  19. I know it's just 28 ABs but Craig's OPS for July is .036 and it would be .000 had Micah Owings not hit Craig back on July 4.
  20. Not even remotely close. Lugo was out by a good four feet. Circumstances aside, far worse than the Gallaraga play. I really don't care that it's 2am local time or that it's the 19th inning. I don't care that it hurt a team we're contending with for the division... THAT was brutal.
  21. Saturday night was the highlight for me. Canyons of Static on the WMSE stage was super excellent and then the Flaming Lips to cap the night.
  22. He'll be back before April ends and it's not an injury to his arm(yeah yeah, any injury can throw off mechanics, we all know this) so to me this isn't the biggest deal in the world. Do I think they should have investigated further when he was complaining about soreness? Yep, 100%. Do I think that this kind of mismanagement of one relatively minor injury is an excuse to slag off the manager and general manager? No. I wasn't there, I wasn't in on the conversations between Zack and the Brewers staff. It's disappointing and slightly frustrating but it's not a precursor to imminent failure. Just hope Zack makes a full and speedy recovery and let's get on with the show.
  23. Some guy chased down a foul ball and as he tried to hop over the railing to get back to where he was sitting his leg caught the rail. He fell a good 5-6 feet and landed on his face. Got up quick tho, to his credit.
  24. hahahaha, long haired Sox fan eats cement! Oh that was great.
  25. Just so you know, as a fan of Liverpool, I will be rooting for your buddy in all FIFA 10 matches. Also, I'd pick Real Madrid given the clubs already taken. If quality of the team was of no importance I'd choose League 2's Burton Albion, wonderfully nicknamed the Brewers.
