  1. That won’t last long. Padres are garbaggio So are the Cubbies. They are the most overrated team in baseball history.
  2. Agree 100%. This is a team that wins late in the year, every year under Stearns. It’s a September team. They have a tremendous amount of underperforming talent that since the day before September has been performing like their talent suggests we should. These injuries to Hiura Woodruff Moose Pina Braun Cain should have kept us from winning, but haven’t, and now this injury to Yelich won’t either. We have good players, AAA players that have given the team a burst of energy, solid starters and a massive bullpen that the skipper of our massive pen can mix and match with the best em. We will overcome, and it’ll feel that much better when we do.
  3. Rise above it. Hiura will be back next week. Moose is almost back. Pina back on Thursday. Woodruff back for the last 10 game stretch. We are not done!
  4. I guarantee there is no MRI machine in the clubhouse. No but X-rays could show broken knee cap. No reason to wait to tell us of status unless it’s bad. Pins and needles, season in all likelihood could be in the balance.
  5. I usually watch games via our Sling Box but the picture on that sux. Painful watching the broadcast, feel bad for the guys that have to talk about about their “stacked” farm, and how they want so bad to play spoiler. Brutally boring. Interviewing Jazz Chisholm, all or nothing SS, they got from Arizona for Zach Gallen. Terrible interview.
  6. I’ve seen a lot of 96’s from Anderson. I’m watching the marlins broadcast. Lack of pitches thrown by chase this year keeping him strong.
  7. Think positive. Just a bruise. He’ll be back. We’ll win all our games while he’s out. Believe it or not this is our year.
  8. Read the words carefully. What you call “bashing the owner”, I call pointing out the truth. It’s as simple as the following: Just about everybody on this site thinks Attanasio pushed the envelope to get the payroll to 127 million this year, can’t go much higher if at all, with-out losing $. Imo, it’s not true. Simple. But of course I get blasted. Which I understand. Won’t talk about it anymore, it’s all there to see.
  9. In 1969-70 owning a mlb team was not a profitable business to own, so why did he work so hard to get a team back in MKE? If he hadn’t bought the Seattle pilots in bankruptcy court and moved them here, do you really think we would have a baseball team here now? Ok, “Strong Arm”, your description, not mine, but what does it matter, he not only saved the brewers, but all the small markets. HE and HE alone, convinced the Steinbrenner‘s and the o’Malley’s to share their revenue. That’s why attanasio‘s brewers are worth 1.25+ billion, REVENUE SHARING. For people to claim he created the brewers for reasons other than: He wanted a baseball team In MKE to love and cheer for, just like we do now. How would you feel if you woke up tomorrow and read that attanasio just sold the Brewers to a fella in Atlanta and he was moving the team there? Simple love of ones team.
  10. You don't have to post about any payrolls or any dollar figure for that matter. Just admit that you went off the rails about our owner and have since come back to earth on it. All posters are wrong around here on things but you have made your name mud because of how you handle being wrong. Amazed that you don't see that yet. I’ve admitted I’ve been wrong about many things. I won’t say I’m wrong if I don’t believe I am. And imo, im not, with regards to payroll. The net isn’t there, so only can guesstimate based on the gross numbers, which have been found, then compare to other teams, and one can learn a lot. I stand behind my words.
  11. Your "Fake News" schitck is getting old. Congratulations on being the 2nd person in my 15 years here that I'm putting on ignore. viewtopic.php?f=63&t=38025&p=1237668&hilit=Attanasio#p1237644 viewtopic.php?f=63&t=38653&p=1229323&hilit=Attanasio#p1229323 viewtopic.php?f=63&t=38943&p=1249474&hilit=66+million#p1249474 viewtopic.php?f=63&t=38943&p=1249468&hilit=66+million#p1249468 viewtopic.php?f=63&t=38943&hilit=66+million&start=20#p1249431 It’s an honor to be only the second poster to be put on ignore by you. I’ve been told by the mods not to keep posting the brewer franchise payroll and $ opinions, so all I will say is thank you. I stand behind my words.
  12. I would argue potentially not as much separation as you think. Remember Jeffress was abysmal in the playoffs. Soria nothing special either in the playoffs. The separation is Burnes Knebel. While we don’t have a Knebel dominant pitcher right now, we could have one emerge that at least has the stuff of Knebel in Black, and I would argue we can play matchup better with 3 good lefties beside Hader. Even Jackson as a Roogy. Let’s see what happens moving forward, before we say not close to last year’s pen.
  13. Lights out: Hader Solid: Pomeranz Suter Guerra Claudio The rest: Black Jackson Peralta Albers D Williams Faria Nelson T Williams Burnes Lots of good potential in “the rest”, at least, 1 or maybe 2 can pitch consistently enough at some point to give us 6 solid options plus Hader on a nightly basis. Then add 3-4 dominant innings from Woodruff and we have a staff that can rival last year’s playoff pen.
  14. Ha, at first I did a double take, thinking I was in the optimism thread.
  15. Lotta game left out there for help... Padres should take 1 or 2 games this series.
  16. Faria is worse. I don't like telling people that they are flat out wrong, but the shoe fits really well right here. What has Burnes done this season to say that he's a better choice than anyone to pitch in a game right now? If he keeps throwing his splitter like that, this guy could maybe help after all.
  17. Faria is worse. But anyhow, just have somebody warming up when burnes enters the game.
  18. I think they should work burnes in at some point in one of these games. Ya never know.
  19. Yes it really is. Early 80’s Pete Ladd Style maybe?
