  1. Absolutely a must win, with no chance to win against Flaherty. I’ve never in my life had a more hopeless feeling than what I have now.
  2. Ha, Sorry if I don’t love Davies like you do. Wanting Stearns fired lasted all of 29 hours, until I recovered from my temper tantrum.
  3. But it really doesn’t matter if there’s another poster or two that agree’s with you because the brewers don’t, and for good reason, and it’s called a pitcher with 4 pitches that he can locate = Starter 100% of the time. Nobody here knows what the brewers think. If people didn't post stuff based on their own personal ideas, and only posted "here's what I think the Brewers will do", there'd be nothing to talk about. This is particularly rich coming from you, as you post more than your fair handful of interesting ideas on a daily basis, some of which I'm reasonably sure are not on the Brewers brass radar. Ok, a better way of putting it might be, the Brewers decided to make him a starter in ST, when, according to BA, he developed a slider. And even when he pitched in the pen, said, he’d go back to starting. The guys gonna be a stud Starter, he’s a rookie, next year he should flourish.

  5. Are these games for the Cubs on the road? They have issues winning away from Wrigley. They have 3 in Pittsburgh and 3 in St. Louis to end the season, but their next 9 games, including 4 against the Cardinals are at home. The Cubs may have had trouble winning on the road, but I wouldn’t count on them losing too many against a Pirates team that is basically in the tank, even on the road. The Brewers remaining schedule isn’t as much easier than the Cubs’ schedule as folks are making it out to be. If the Brewers drop behind by as much as 3 games again, it’s going to be very tough to catch back up. 6 games on the road against the Reds and Rockies are going to be a lot tougher for the Brewers than the games against the Marlins. For starters (pun intended) the Reds have several starting pitchers who are capable of shutting the Brewers out for 6 innings or longer; they have done it before. I agree with your take. The brewers with a tougher schedule, mainly because of 2 factors > the Reds, and the fact of the Cards potentially clinching early and not going all out to beat the Cubbies. The Crew winning at least 1 of the next 2 is critical, imo, of course winning both would be better. Getting Hiura and Woody back hopefully will be huge.
  6. You could be the only person on this site that is still clinging to the hope that the brewers could put him back in the pen. If the crew signs Cole, trades for glasnow Verlander and Greinke, then yeah.
  7. After reading the critiques of my original plan, I made changes. And Mark Attanasio approves, Because he truly does want to go all in, for Yelich, Selig, Uecker, and the long suffering fans of MKE. But only for 1-2 years, then a reduced payroll.
  8. If the Brewers are ever gonna offer 30+ million per year for a starting pitcher, it should be this guy. Guessing ~ 7 at 210 could land him. He also, imo, could be traded if/when we need to. 1-2 more years of Yelich, surrounded by a nice core of position players, with Cole & Woodruff & Houser leading a rotation, with the best bullpen in the NL, yeah, put me down for that.
  9. Burnes must be there to carry equipment He’s still working on things throwing in the bullpen.
  10. Please tell me you didn't actually believe that load of hogwash if they actually said that. Why is this so hard to believe? When he was optioned it took him 3-4 days to play in a game. I figured at the time he was probably sulking.
  11. T Williams really good at keeping 10 run deficit from becoming 11 or more, we found his niche.
  12. Cards announcers said Shaw upset the brewers didn’t release him so he could catch on with another team, fresh start. Mental midget is he. He above all, hurt this team. He can just go away.
  13. Bader is a terrible hitter, but man can he cover the ground in CF.
  14. All things considered I think it's been a fairly cool headed GT. Some disappointment but no one is saying it is over. Re-read.
  15. Because they ain't winning this game, so saving as many of and saving the best pen arms is the end goal now tonight. I know that. Pitch some other guys, Burnes perhaps. It’s over.
  16. Why is he still pitching? We have 6 more pen arms we can use, not including any we used yesterday.
  17. Faria with major command issues. It’s bad. Definitely seen enough of him this year.
  18. Might have spoke too soon on Faria, we’ll see.
  19. Let’s see what we have in some of these other guys, probably a good strategy tonight. Faria 2 good outings in a row.
  20. Assuming now we see Faria Nelson Albers T Williams Burnes?
  21. Unless Houser’s hip is hurting, I don’t get taking him out after only 3. Could have got 4 or 5 out of him. 0-4 in the 4th, too early to give up. Lots of innings to cover with our worst pen arms.
  22. Just be thankful most or all of you didn’t have to listen to the Cards call of that homerun. Annoying to the hilt.
  23. Like CC hit and run there, like to see more of that.
