  1. I didn't know .660 OPS versus lefties was good BA. Thanks for letting me know.
  2. Well he certainly should have lost his roster lock status he had through August.
  3. I was going to say Ohtani will probably get a third but........
  4. Very true. Their four starters only got 73 starts I believe and probably the equivalent of 68-69 considering the buildup of Ohtani during the year. If they got anything close to 30 starts out of those four there is no way they don't win over 100.
  5. Plus the pandemic was rearing it's head and everyone should have known that as things were already getting shut down. I thought that alone was a dumb reason to extend him when they did. And no, I'm not using hindsight either.
  6. Don Mincher and Jimmie Hall as well? Was Gaylord's brother on that team too?
  7. I'm guessing not too many teams have hit under .100 in a best of 7 so pretty high.
  8. I actually kind of want them to win this year and next so all the owners hate them so much they are willing to blow up the current system completely no matter what it takes. Outside of that, I'd root for anyone else. Well maybe not the Yankees.
  9. Yelich can have nice stretches where he's very good. But when he goes cold, it's ice age cold and makes him completely unwatchable.
  10. Collins has been a bum since the birth of his child. Maybe the league finally figured him out, I don't know.
  11. 1 hit in 4 innings. The offense is practically cooking.
  12. Is Yelich up to 65 playoff at bats since his last RBI yet?
  13. But they collectively are Koufax (or better) right now. Last 4 games for Glasnow, 5 for Ohtani and 6 for Snell and Yamamoto they have covered 121 innings allowing 57 hits and striking out 137. Overall 0.75 WHIP and 0.97 ERA.
  14. While not optimistic at all, I really don't care how they finish the season per se. They could end up red hot and lose it all with the off days. Look at the 2023 Braves, finished a respectable 7-3 averaging nearly 7 runs per game. Then lost in four games while scoring a whopping 8 runs.
  15. Hmmm. our long winning streak ended the day after the birth and we've been below .500 since.
  16. Randy averaged nearly 6 walks per 9 innings through his first 5 years. Guess they should have moved him to the bullpen long before that time.
  17. I would have preferred seeing Mono at second, Seigler behind the plate and Jansen at DH. And excuse me Mr. Rottino, do you honestly believe this lineup has no holes in it?
  18. Your opinion which is fine. I might be too old school but I give a rip what a guys batting average is, or isn't. With how many guys tend to tank post-trade deadline, I don't even think those stats mean much.
