  1. I just can't begin to see the downside to robo umps. Seems like everyone would be happier. We all know instantaneously what the call is and that should be able to be relayed to the umpire and the scoreboard operator immediately as to not effect game flow whatsoever.
  2. By the way, the Reds starters have a 3.26 ERA since the start of June and the Brewers starters have a 3.58 ERA during the same period (prior to tonight).
  3. I don't think we have far better pitching. Relief pitching yes but their starting pitching is fairly close especially with Castillo back in form.
  4. They don't call the low strike very often. Not just these umpires, all umpires. Until they get the roboumps in the game, it's not going to change.
  5. Had to get in a quick workout but to throw in my two cents on the call to Castellanos, I would say that is called a ball 75% of the time in the game today. Nothing to get worked up over. I also truly feel that the Reds are the better team. They certainly need some bullpen help but if they can improve there and get back Sims and Antone, I see it going their way. Their starting pitching is nearly as good as ours so long as Gray is fine and I suspect he is. Definitely better offensively.
  6. Doesn’t it still have to be a play where you have a chance for a double play? They had absolutely 0.0% chance at turning a double play there. No being able to turn the DP has nothing to do with it. As I said previously, the Reds would have gotten the same call last night when Yelich overslid second but he didn't make the throw in that instance.
  7. That's how they always make that call. Might be silly but that's the rule. You can't lose contact with second. Simple, doesn't matter how safe the runner was.
  8. They would have gotten the same call on Yelich yesterday if the Reds had made the throw to first but he held onto the ball.
  9. Well, with Wong back Peterson is a bench guy. Taylor is normally a bench guy. That gets Reyes off the big league roster. We'd be better off using Peterson in left while he's hot and sending Yelich to the bench.
  10. At some point pitchers will figure out it's 2021 and there is no need to be careful with Yelich and the walks will dry up too.
  11. And somehow Mahle couldn't find it all in the first. True. I think he was missing more high than wide but I could be wrong.
  12. There would be two errors if I was the official scorer. That one and the one Avi dropped.
  13. I've said it before, but you might just as well make Yelich the leadoff hitter. He just isn't a run producer at this point and may never be again.
  14. I think there have been more blown calls go the Brewers way than the other way around. Another video to use for the roboump proponents.
  15. Please, please just trade Hiura at the deadline. I just can't take him anymore.
