  1. Myles Turner appears to be ready to absolutely feast off Giannis' gravity this season. I would also casually share: the guard group of KPJ, GTJ, AJG, Cole, and Rollins might be the most slept on group in the League. It is very early obviously but, I legit really like what I'm seeing from this group. Sears continues to show his size worries were overstated. He'a looked quite fun in garbage time late-game pre season work. He has feel. Can handle. Has Range. Can penetrate. Can throw the lob. He's going to be fun in Oshkosh for those who attend Herd games.
  2. That's now three consecutive games called by weather. Friday canceled. Saturday postponed. Now, Sunday canceled due to Tropical Storm Priscilla.
  3. 56 years as an MLB organization. This is only the 4th time the Brewers have ever been to a Championship Series. My goodness. I am not built for this. 😅
  4. Jack likely drenched in Miller Lite at this point of his locker room 'work'. 😅
  5. As the absolute Chad Patrick original hype man...I was one PROUD Baseball Papa tonight. Man alive his uplevel in a bullpen role - his cajones and grit - is electric. What a player.
  6. It is 'monsoon' season in the Southwest it would appear. Yesterday's Saguaros game vs Glendale was canceled. Today's game vs Salt River is postponed.
  7. Yeah, given the very obvious injured way he left his SLDS post-season start this was always a concern or possibility. Sigh. And in typical fashion, it wasn't even hinted at in the discourse leading up the AFL season by the journos or people getting paid to cover the Brewers. I really really do not look forward to that random and sudden drop of transactional data in mid winter telling us he is going to miss the 2026 season. Really do not want to see that!
  8. Saguaros moved to 3-0 with another dub, 7-2 over the Javelinas. It does appear DH Marco Dinges (0-for-4, 2 K) was removed for an 8th inning pinch hitter. This after he grounded out weakly to 3B in the 6th. Let's hope it's nothing but given his mid season multi-week absence due to that hammy...I'm a wee jumpy. LF Josh Adamczewski led off and went 1-for-4 with 1 BB, 1 K, and 1 2B - that's consecutive games with XBH's if we include last night's grand salami. 1B Luke Adams is settling in quite nicely to a nightly clean-up role: 1-for-3, 1 R, 1 BB, 2 SB, and 1 K. He did commit his first fielding error After hitting last night's two out 2-RBI oppo walk-off single, 2B Dylan O'Rae was awarded nine-hole duties. He responded with a 1-for-4, 1 RBI, 1 2B, and 1K effort. For the second consecutive game, no Brewers pitchers were afforded the opportunity to toss the white rat.
  9. It certainly wasn't looking good heading into the late innings with Surprise trailing 8-1. BUT... Box Score/Game Log A Grand Salami from Adamczewski pulled Surprise within 2 in the 8th. Massive knock. That pulled the Saguaros to an 8-6 deficit. A Luke Adams two-run jack in the 9th tied it at 8-8. Then Dylan O'Rae (!!) walked it off in the bottom of the 10th with a two-out, two-run single. What a win. 11-10. Yowza. The Crew lads were all up in this comeback. Not a single Brewer pitched . (There are highlight clips in that Game Wrap linked above including Adams' majestic game-tying blast)
  10. Adamczewski has now struck out in four consecutive AB's to start his AFL campaign. Very uncharacteristic beginning for the young man. Let's hope he can start finding success.
  11. Love that for Javik. Who knew when we lost Garret Greene we were getting a rising Star? Javik has been a real bedrock of positivity for the shuckers amidst some extremely streaky up-and-down seasons. He clearly loves connecting with the players and coaches and his genuine authentic passion for what he does shines through in every broadcast. He absolutely puts the work in on the daily. I always appreciate he includes the Hawkeye/Statcast data on notable hits/pitches. I think when the voters looked over their candidates and saw Javik they knew: "This award is wayyy gone!"😉
  12. Box Score / Game Log: Surprise surprised us with a Game 1 9-6 victory. Adams went 1-for-3 batting clean up with 1 2B, 2 R, 1 RBI, and 2 BB while playing some savvy D at first base it would appear: Batting sixth, C Marco Dinges put forth a solid 2-for-4 with 1 R, 1 RBI, and a 107 mph double we see here via Prospects Worldwide (link embedding not allowed for this post). Adamczewski appears to have subbed on as a PH in the middle innings. In two AB's he struck out on foul tips. On the pitching aide of the ledger we see clean 1 K innings from both Fowler and Flores. In RHP Edwin Jimenez's first live action since his 2024 season-ending injury, he allowed 1 ER on 2 H including a solo HR surrendered. Surprise plays again tonight, Wednesday 10/8, vs Glendale.
  13. Welp, went back post-Brewsers Game 2 win and speed watched portions of the Bucks first pre-season game. Ultimately, we all know pre-season games in any sport are meaningless. Unless, of course, it validates a prior: Kyle Kuzma absolutely still stinks at NBA basketball. Good grief he is truly a terrible NBA basketball player in any context.
  14. Watching Jackson in the post-season while realizing we have another transcendent talent in Made waiting in the wings is surreal What a time to be a Brewers fan.
  15. Well, shoot. That game was incredible. The homers were obviously wunderbar but that game was entirely about Miz, Patrick, and Abner for me. Man alive if they continue to pitch like that?
  16. OF/RHP Brett Phillips is indeed hanging them up at age 31. Heck of a long-lasting career
  17. You go right ahead and down vote me @BrewerFan.I was built for this adversity! (Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the LaFleur led Packers 🤭)
  18. Words can not describe how hard my eyes bleed when I watch Kyle Kuzma play any kind of basketball. Absolutely in mid-season form. (Wait for it as the camera pans to the far corner half court. You won't be disappoined) He truly is One of One.
  19. He certainly struggled as a Starter, no doubt about it, but he didn't struggle all that much after his move and routines moved to the bullpen. He ended his season with a 4.09 ERA and 1.38 WHIP. The breadth of sample sizes is important in these complete analyses. You'll be hard pressed to find a better three month span in his June-through-August work. I think the Brewers are scratching the surface here and will look to bring him back. He also appeared on the Top Stuff + performers across all of Minor League baseball when it came to his two-seamer/sinker profile (Minimum of 300 pitches): Don't sleep on Mendoza.
  20. I just re-watched that last drive of OT. Man, they were absolutely cooking. Plenty of time left at the Dallas, what, 13 yard line? Roughly 40 seconds. Can. Not. Call that absurd Bubble Screen. Can not do it. That was the difference, essentially. Obviously, then we see the inexplicable lack of urgency from there - comically lackadaisical. What an absolute quagmire of failing to seize the moment. I continue to be amazed by the Packers inability to recognize Mathew Golden is not really all that creative in space. And, yet, they insist on throwing him back for punt returns - beyond head scratching. I would gather he is likely catching the punts at a less than 50% rate? He needs to be going straight line and they really need to take less off his plate. Whereas, the rookie who is very dynamic in space, in Savion Williams, it's like they are finding ways not to exploit that. The Packers seem to annually lack the ability to scout themselves in key areas. It is utterly confounding to me.
  21. Just a refresher from mid September. the plan for Adamczewski is indeed a predominance of action in left field in the AFL:
