    Triple-A debut for LHP Nate Peterson in the 10th inning. He picks up a Save. He works around a walk and a WP but picks up 2 K as well. Not a bad inning of work! Sounds pull out the 4-2 series victory with the 9-7 W.

    AND, Fitzpatrick walks the lead-off. He is sac bunted to 2B. WP sends him to 3B. Sac fly and fly out. 6-6 to Extras. Sigh.

    It was 6-0 Sounds headed to the bottom of the 8th. RHP Julian Merryweather came aboard for the first time in three days. He gave up 3 HR including a three-run ahot before ye was pulled after his 2/3 IP. 6-5 Sounds headed to the bottom of the 9th. LHP Brian Fitzpatrick will try to sneak out the 'W'.

    RHP Will Childers pitched a clean 9th inning to pick up his first Triple-A Save and secure the Sounds 7-6 victory. I personally don't know what the Triple-A pitching rehab means in 2025 given what we've seen, but I am sure the very supportive Brewers fans across the internets will understand that as well when they see rehabbing RHP Grant Anderson's 1.0 IP of 2 H, 1 BB, 1 HR, and 3 ER work. He did manage to throw 14 oof 21 total pitches for strikes. Under-appreciated RF Jared Oliva swiped 2 bases for his 49th and 50th of his season. One can only wonder how many he could have stolen had he not missed an entire month and eight days worth of time due to injury in May to June. He's truly a fantastic player who likely deserves another chance at the MLB level.

    Highly likely, yes. But, correct me if I'm wrong, not certain? Montgomery leads the division by 5.0 G with 7 G to play. I certainly wouldn't put it past the Shuckers to lose these final two games of this ongoing Wahoos series. Organizationally speaking, the Brewers full-season affiliates are definitely doing their best second half interpretation of the 2024 White Sox and 2025 Rockies. They are a combined 31 Games below 0.500. Woof. Led, of course, by the juggernaut that is the 2025 Timber Rattlers.

    2025 Mudcats baseball. Where they are even giving their trademark Chris Edwards slogans away to opponents...not just division titles. "The Cardiac Fred Nats!!!" ?!? (I'm just being silly y'all. Losing sucks. But it happens. Hopefully, the young men learn from these experiences and still have the resolve to finish this series strongly.)

    Ooooof. After the sheer and total first half Mudcats collapse - getting swept by Lynchburg late in the season when entering the series leading the division by 1.5 G - a walk-off grand slam to lose out on a second half opportunity feels quite fitting. Metaphorical, even, for the entirety of this organizational wide full-season affiliate second half of baseball. Man. This second half has truly been glimmers of twinkling stars at a distance. Whole lotta losses. Mudcats find new and creative ways to lose in 2025.

    Two of RHP Patricio Aquino's last three outings are in the very interesting (in a good way) category. This includes tonight's fantastic relief performance. Muddies are trying to push tonight's game to extras. 1-1 bottom of the 9th. Eeeeek

    Huge moment in the Mudcats game. Bases loaded. One down. Ragsdale just worked a seven pitch walk. It is now a 5-3 Nationals leaf. Mound visit and a pitching change. Payne with an opportunity to chip into their deficit even further in the bottom of the 5th of a 7-inning game.

    Quezada ran into a lil bases loaded no out trouble in the bottom of the 7th, but he navigated out of it like a champ: K, Force Out, Fly Out. Muddies win game 1 with a final score of 5-1!

    I mean the only story actually happening in that T-Rats game is a healthy Letson expanding his pitch count, once again, dominancing. Guilarte? CF Guilarte, no less. Yeah...moving on.😅
