I like it, but Weeks must have a clone as he is in the Baltimore trade AND the 5th of on the bench. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I would really like to get Roberts and have the ability to sign CC. Sheets can go w/out an offer being tendered.

Wow, some people around here really need to drop the gloves and go lately! Sheesh! Back to the situation at hand: Get yourself a super soaker! Why is Hart regressing? / Merged: Corey Hart (.300) OBP

I just read the whole thread and was looking for the "I wonder if he is playing with an injury" question. It never popped up amid all of the "Corey Hart sucks right now" talk. What if he IS injured. Would the team disclose this? Look at Sheets...his elbow was hurt for over a month before the fans heard about it. The same thing could be happening with Hart. The crew has no replacement right now so if he IS hurt maybe they are just keeping their lips shut about it... -

Another work related bug: I have a customer (my #2 of 30 customers) that has been named a "maneater" by her coworkers. She is in a position of power with her company and she has turned in to my worst nightmare. Seriously, I am considering a career change because of customers like her. Right now, I would rather have several teeth removed without being numbed or knocked out than go meet with her. Ugh...

Yet another unnecessary shot taken at another poster (me this time). Paying Hardy elite SS money and playing him at 3rd would not be a waste in my opinion. You have Escobar coming up with a rookie contract and JJ still around in case Escobar cannot cut it. Is there a rule that says that you can only have one elite player at each position?

I would really like to see Hardy get signed to a long term deal. But, I would like that deal to revolve around Shortstop pay, but with a move to either 2b or 3b. This way Escobar can realize his full potential. Hart - he can be traded today if that was possible. He has underperformed and has not earned a long-term contract. I would get Gamel a new outfielders glove and pencil him in as the RF for the next 5-6 years.

AJAY put all of my words down already...other than the fact that the one MAJOR thing that Melvin has forgotten to do over his tenure was sign/trade for a good lead offhitter. I could almost care less about the slugging portion of the leadoff mans stats (not 100% care less...but close) as long as he is getting on at a .360+ clip and can run the bases without a cheat sheet. I'll get crucified by the stat guys for that but not all 8 starters need to hit 20+ homers in my book...

The Baseball Tonight guys (see my sig to know what I think of ESPN...but anyways) said that they could see a Prince and Hardy to the Giants for Cain + something. With Escobar and Gamel ready to play, hypothetically, I could see a trade like this happening. Follow the A's/Twins mold and have long-term success...

One last question for the HR types: Do any of you know a good resume writing service in the Fox Valley? I was just told by someone at "The Ladders" that my resume leaves a lot to be desired. While I know that they are doing that so I go with their service I do know that my resume is not giving the WOW factor needed for a sales resume...

That is the load of crap explanation that I got from a journalist from the Journal/Sentinel when I asked him about Princes weight when I ran in to him before a game in July. I was pretty ticked at his answer because it doesn't make a lot of sense to compare the average "I drink a lot of beer" weight gain to a professional "athlete" gaining 40-50 lbs...

What the hell happened to the Brewers? I went to put my kid down for a nap and the score was 0-0. I came back...5-0 Pads. Now BA says that it was a defensive breakdown...these guys need to have their buts kicked. Also, I wonder if Parra was ever just "one pitch away" as Yost likes to say... -

Calling all HR professionals, I have a job-seeker etiquette question. I applied with a company in January and made it through two interviews before they decided an internal candidate was going to be promoted to fill the position. Now, that company is advertising the opportunity again. I submitted my resume because I am still VERY interested in this position but I am wondering if it would be proper to call the recruiter that I was working with in the past. I don't want to screw it up right from the start here so I am looking for some opinions. Thanks, Hammer
