  1. I'm a Brewers homer, obviously, but I'm not sure if I see it from them unless they pull one of those 17 game winning streaks out of their hats. Thing that's preventing them from stringing wins together, though, is that one of their SPs is having a blowup start every couple games or so. Not that I think the Brewers are sure bets to clear 90 wins or anything...I'm honestly just as concerned by the Cubs as I am the Cardinals at this point.
  2. They're known for that.
  3. How is the Cards' SP going to improve, though?? Especially when this is shaping up to be one of the weakest deadlines for starting pitching in recent memory... Brewers are experiencing severe underperformance and injuries across their roster and yet are still clear of the Cardinals by 7 games in the loss column. If the Brewers can get healthy (Urias, Woodruff, Frelick, etc.) and get the positive regression they're seemingly due for (Burnes, Peralta, Adames, Taylor, etc.), I think you have to look at them as the favorites to win this weak division.
  4. Ruf can actually hit lefties. Voit can't.
  5. Ready for the Anderson-Adames-Urias-Miller alignment with Rowdy/Ruf at DH
  6. That would be a mistake. Kid's only 19 and is the future. Last thing we need is to screw with his development.
  7. Do we have any idea why Chourio was removed from the game?
  8. Hate to break it to you, Rock. But Brian Anderson ain't a gold glover as long as Arenado is in the NL...
  9. Something that would only happen to this team...
  10. I wish I could option my memories of watching Tyson Miller pitch last night. This is the move that should’ve been made on Monday. It’ll be nice to have another lefty in the pen.
  11. They actually have the funds remaining for the scoreboard, which needs to be replaced every 10 years like your TV. They don’t for the roof since the 5 county sales tax expired. Hence, why they’re asking the govt, which is the lessor, for the necessary funds.
  12. Thanks CC. You totally punted this game away. Arnold should get the blame too considering we had better options than this guy.
  13. We need Urias. Wiemer and Turang just can't be in the lineup together.
  14. You pitch the worst pitcher in the pen in a 1-0 game CC???
  15. Give me robot umps right now. These guys are so bad at their jobs.
  16. You're right my bad. I had Tuesday's game stuck in my head as the last game for whatever reason. Contreras is slumping a bit, and we're facing a lefty starter tomorrow so makes sense.
  17. Contreras must be nursing some kind of injury to keep him out of the lineup entirely two days in a row. Unless they're trying to let him reset in the midst of a slump
  18. I would imagine that's the plan. Teheran hasn't pitched in a hot minute.
  19. I would probably sub in Frelick for Wiemer at CF once he's healthy, but yeah I agree otherwise.
  20. Underperforming Brewers: Corbin Burnes, Freddy Peralta, Willy Adames, Tyrone Taylor, Christian Yelich (relative to his Xstats), William Contreras (with the bat), Key Injuries: Brandon Woodruff, Aaron Ashby, Luis Urias, Wade Miley, Sal Frelick (all slated to return at some point) Overperforming Brewers: Owen Miller, Bryse Wilson? Joel Payamps?..... Positive regression/better injury luck forthcoming...
