  1. He still has it in him. We've known that. Just do it more often.
  2. Let's score like a million runs today.
  3. I may come to regret this post, but Wade Miley is the exact type of pitcher you want pitching at Coors Field in a "must win" game. Tons of soft contact and not reliant on big breaking balls. See Game 3, 2018 NLDS. Lauer, not so much...
  4. Well at least we have an opportunity to join the Reds as the only NL Central teams to win a game this week.
  5. Here's an idea. DFA Voit and play Brosseau at 1B...
  6. As the mod said, this comment is totally unnecessary.... I'll just spell it out then. Why are we 18-11 despite a middling offense at this point? Run prevention, in particular, the #1 defense in baseball by DRS. Who are #2 and #3 in DRS on the team after Contreras? Joey Wiemer and Brice Turang with 4 DRS each... So, by solely focusing on what they're doing at the plate, you're completely ignoring their contributions when it comes to preventing runs, which have been a huge part of our winning ballgames. Take that away and we'd be worse off, despite their offensive struggles.
  7. Yeah but you were talking about expectations for this team coming into the season…
  8. Except that’s not what “rational people” (models) thought and still continue to think…Maybe you’re confusing rationalism with pessimism.
  9. We're winning games because of our defense right now, with Turang playing a major role in that. I don't think some posters quite appreciate that. Until Urias gets healthy, Turang is by far our best option at 2B atm.
  10. Great we took Winker out of the game for that..
  11. You said he’s blessed to even be on the major league roster… I don’t think too many of us think he should be batting leadoff. It’s just one poster to my knowledge.
  12. Yelich has been very good defensively this year.
  13. Not Freddy’s best performance, but he still ends up with double digit Ks and a career high in whiffs.
  14. Elite defense maybe? And more Disappointment? He’s a month into his major league career!
  15. Honestly, I'd wait a week or two yet and pay close attention to Keston's K%. But the Brewers haven't exactly shown a particular concern for reverse splits to this point. At some point you gotta give Keston one final opportunity...
  16. You gotta find out at some point. Better now than after the trade deadline. If he fails one final time, I doubt we end up caring about him refusing the assignment anyways. Upside? We've all seen what happens when he actually makes contact. And Keston is 26. Voit is 31.... SSA, but his K% has been declining in AAA recently....
  17. I think we're getting close to seeing Keston get one last opportunity with the Brewers...The Voit experiment has just about run its course. Gotta go with youth and upside.
  18. Yep. All he needs to do is just find a way to foul those pitches off and/or lay off them entirely and keep the at-bat going...I think we're getting closer to seeing Keston get one more opportunity with the Brewers given Voit's struggles. Huge SSA, but Keston's slash line against LHP is: .370/.433/.815...
  19. We avoid Ohtani and Sandoval. Cardinals, who play the Angels starting tonight, get those guys. Love it.
  20. Need Tyrone and Urias in this lineup.
