  1. Lol. And now the edges are suddenly closed.
  2. Also, catcher is totally blocking the plate there.
  3. This game looks like it's going to be incredibly annoying.
  4. Lmao Gray didn't throw one strike to Chourio
  5. I want no part of Colin Rea pitching in the postseason.
  6. Two week super small sample size that means next to nothing, but the ridiculousness has gotten to the point where Chourio's peripherals have surpassed even Judge and Witt Jr....20 years old. Also, gotta give credit to Jackson Merrill for keeping up with JC every step of the way here in the 2nd half.
  7. I think at least one of them is going to force their way up at some point if Peguero, who has an option, keeps melting down with runners on base. I don't know how you feel comfortable pitching him in anything but the lowest leverage situations in the postseason, if at all. Milner still has to earn back his spot on the roster and his continued fit is questionable given the presence of Ashby, Koenig, and (hopefully) Hudson. And let's face it, a reliever or two is still likely to hit the IL at some point this month. Like you said, the Brewers remain committed to developing Misiorowski as a starter which means he's all but guaranteed to open in the minors next season. So, they'll likely retain the extra year of control regardless. Yoho is turning 25 and has had two TJ surgeries. I don't see much of an incentive to holding him in the minors much longer. Devin is going to be gone at some point within the next several months, and I think Yoho has a real chance to make the team out of ST. Not too worried about 40 man spots given guys like Herget and Jay remain on the roster. Bottom line is there's a major opportunity to capitalize on yet another "bite of the apple" and Misiorowski and Yoho's stuff is as postseason caliber as it gets for two guys on the major league doorstep.
  8. Same thing was said about Winker. (or would've been had he been under contract another season). I think we need to give Hoskins some leeway coming off major surgery.
  9. Yeah. Murphy himself had basically zero alternative options. The frustrating part is Peguero on the roster. Dude just can't be trusted in high leverage, especially with runners on.
  10. Seriously, Misiorowski or Paredes needs to be on a flight to Milwaukee tonight. Remarkable how Peguero completely shrivels up with a runner on the basepaths.
  11. Incredible how Peguero just immediately loses his command with men on base.
  12. And here comes Peguero with an inherited runner in his first game back. lol Also, have a feeling the Cards will bring Helsley back out if they take the lead.
  13. Garrett Mitchell against Helsley lol. We know how this is going to end.
  14. If it leads to the Cards reupping him at age 37, I approve. His peripherals scream a declining hitter, and the Cards have an affinity for geriatrics.
  15. FWIW, I liked the bunt if Helsley was pitching and you were going to pinch hit for Hoskins. What I hate is the bunt by Ortiz after the walk to set up Turang in that situation. Other than Frelick, there's no one I want up less against a LHP needing a ball in the OF.
  16. Pinch hit Mitchell for Hoskins. Bunt 100% needs to be the play here against Helsley.
  17. Who needs drugs or love when you have Jackson Chourio.
