  1. I see you're really emotional about all this and not going to give it up, so I'll do you the favor and bow out. Feel free to keep talking to yourself, though, and I really hope you're able to get past this.
  2. Webb is definitely really good, but if there's a silver lining it's that he gives up a ton of hard contact (47% hard hit rate). So, if they can elevate the ball, which is easier said than done with Webb's sinker/changeup combo, they can put some pressure on him.
  3. FIFY. Maybe another 24 hours will be enough for you to get over it?
  4. Adames projected to clear 9 figures as expected. Love Willy, but I'm fine moving on and getting a draft pick for that especially with his recent defensive struggles.
  5. There is zero irony because a) I'm not even the poster who pointed that out I was agreeing with another poster and b) the plain wording of the post was right there and was pretty much impossible to be interpreted any other way according to the meaning of the words used whereas Turbo is questioning the intent behind my posts and claiming he knows my intent (which exists only in my brain) better than I do which is pretty audacious. Btw, nice resurrecting a day old argument. lol. Hopefully by tomorrow you and Turbo will get over it.
  6. MLB Umpire's Union is the real enemy of the people.
  7. Yep. That looks like the Ashby of old.
  8. I'll take 6 innings like this from Montas. Should only have given up two runs. Brewers have done well with him so far.
  9. In the end, I'd like to think I know what I'm thinking better than you do. And that you asserting otherwise does ironically reek of the very superiority you're supposedly calling out. Regardless, nothing "failed" because Montas was screwed over by CB Bucknor.
  10. Great battle by Montas. He's pitching really solid aside from a couple pitches and CB Bucknor.
  11. I really wanted Rooker at the deadline.
  12. We gave up Jakob Junis and Joey Wiemer.... Funny how your attempt to call out "superiority" reeks of an attempt to assert "superiority" by yourself.
  13. If we're going to come back, we're going to have to do it before the 9th because that's Mason Miller time.
  14. He didn't give up an earned run against the Dodgers. He's been pitching well, if not at an elite level.
  15. I mean when people make disaster declarations before a guy throws a single pitch and call for him to be DFA'd after his first few starts (one of which he pitched well and had some bad luck), those people should rightly be called out. Especially when all we gave up was Joey Wiemer and Jakob Junis. A single inning in which CB Bucknor gifted the A's 2 runs changes nothing.
  16. Could use a couple Ks here.
  17. Geez, CB. That was a great pitch.
  18. Okay I think I jinxed him so I hereby rescind this comment.
  19. Yeah. Every transaction carries some hot takes, but with that one some people were making disaster declarations before the guy even threw a single pitch.
  20. Lol. That was the most eventful 3 pitch AB by Adames.
  21. Some people might have some explaining to do with their reactions to the Montas trade.
