No. It's just the New York media who bitterly resent him for what he did (or more like didn't do) for their precious Yankees. It's become a vendetta at this point. Little do they know how complicit they are, particularly when star after star falters under the insane pressure in NY, only to go back to success somewhere else. -
No. But after last night, I'd say the chances are higher that the Cubs will miss the playoffs entirely given the Marlins' schedule.

On a serious note, I would expect CC to still play to win this game tonight. Players did not sound thrilled with the three game losing streak and I don't think CC wants to coast like we did a bit in 2021. Maybe sit Yelich against the lefty, but otherwise play your usual contingent of righties, let Miley go the full length (he isn't starting in the Wild Card series), and use your "A" relievers if necessary (Devin hasn't pitched in almost 10 days).
