The reason we have Freddy Peralta today!

Here's a crazy tweet. Just to emphasize how young Chourio is. He is younger than 72% of this fantasy guy's Top 500 prospects. Also another crazy tweet from Curt. It's cherrypicked, but the company that did it at 21 are 2 of the best players in MLB history.

If we want some positive prospect news, Just Baseball just dropped their Top 100. It had 6 Brewers. 1. Jeferson Quero - 27 2. Jesus Made - 58 (very aggressive, wouldn't be shocked if this is an industry consensus type ranking 12 months from now) 3. Jacob Misiorowski - 66 4. Luke Adams - 74 (this is pretty shocking. I know the bat has been amazing but wow) 5. Tyler Black - 80 6. Yophery Rodriguez - 96

At this very moment, I feel like there's a better chance Jesus Made is a top 100 prospect in baseball 12 months from now than that he's not.

There’s definitely self confidence needed to make it as an MLB athlete, but I think he had a little too much self confidence. I remember last year there was an article in his local newspaper where he basically said he expects to be up in the MLB when the Brewers played in DC I believe (can’t remember for sure) for a basically home town debut. I’m not sure he was ever close to being in the picture for an MLB call up last season.

There are posters here who can’t spell some players names right that have been on the team multiple years. This is nothing new.

Ortiz was at 99 vs LHP coming into tonight after being around 40 like 2 months ago. Chourio was at 85. Feel like splits vs LHP can change so fast because you don't face a lot of LHP. Like one or two good games against LHP and you go from wow this guy can't hit LHP to wow he's basically league average vs LHP

Bukauskas got granted a 4th option year. Occasionally happens with pitchers that have had big injury issues.

Don't look now but Perkins wRC+ vs LHP this year coming into tonight was 109. He always hit LHP well in the minors (was naturally a RHH and became a switch hitter after being drafted out of HS). The real issue with Perkins appears to be he can't hit at AmFam. In his career he's 130 wRC+ on the road and 56 at home with an xwOBA 60 points better on the road. This is a sample that is probably getting big enough to take note of. Seems like he just struggles at AmFam for whatever reason.

Yeah Payamps is very fortunate because that was a mistake pitch

I can't wait for Chourio to start hitting for power consistently, but until then it's going to be fun to watch him smashing singles and doubles all over the park.

Nice inning from Mears. Don't love his command. Hopefully as he adjusts to pitching outside of Coors full time that he will be able to hone in the command.
  13. wiguy94
Hardly playing, K-rate over 40%. Think I'd rather see Hicklen up and Hicklen can start against LHP in the OF so we don't need to see Mitchell or Frelick flail against LHP.

HAVE YOURSELF A DAY BLAKE PERKINS!

How much longer do we need to go in the season with Murphy treating Freddy like an ace and guys like Myers and Rea like 5 and dive guys?
  16. wiguy94
The question is why did you expect any differently. Monasterio got an even more high leverage AB against Johnson last week with 3 LHH on the bench and even though Monasterio struck out in silly fashion, Murphy still defended the decision as the right call in the post game presser.
  17. wiguy94
They just let him eat it. 7 runs with 0 outs in the 5th before he got pulled. Head scratching to say the least.
  18. wiguy94
That's some garbage pitch calling from Contreras. Two straight ugly swings against sliders to get ahead 0-2 and you go to a FB???
  19. wiguy94
Corniel has unfortunately totally imploded here in the 5th inning.
  20. wiguy94
Milner has an option but has passed 5 years service time so he could refuse an option.

111 EV, 372ft on Bitonti's HR. An absolute scorched wall scraper. He's a stud.
  22. wiguy94
I will say I think he got bailed out by some undisciplined hitting. Indy chased 50% of the pitches out of the strike zone. Needs to locate better if he's going to be in the MLB, but much better than last outing either way.
  23. wiguy94
I didn't even notice haha. At this point, I think it's just customary for you to mix up LF and RF
  24. wiguy94
In sad news, Josh Adamczewski was removed from the game. Not sure what the reason was.
