  1. I don't think Carolina is going to get much going against Mr. Gill Hill today. He looks like someone who should be pitching in A+.
  2. Liranzo is a Top 100 prospect by multiple services. Switch hitting 21 year old catcher with 90th percentile EV of 108. That's plus/double plus power potential. Most comparable Brewers level prospect is Cooper Pratt.
  3. This Gary Gill Hill guy has looked very good here early. Check the season numbers and it makes sense. Pretty highly regarded Rays prospect who has had a very good season in the Carolina league.
  4. Bitonti quickly went down 0-2 but battled back to 2-2 with a couple of foul balls. Ultimately struck out swinging on a changeup low and away.
  5. Bitonti looks massive in the box. I would not be shocked if he was taller than the listed 6'4.
  6. Just how Yhoswar drew it up. Bobbles a ball in CF allowing runner to go 1st to 3rd (probably would never have been a play) but the batter tries to stretch to 2nd and was out to end the inning.
  7. Mudcats missing Pratt here early. Di Turi boots one of the most routine grounders you’ll ever see with 2 outs that puts the Mudcats down 1-0.
  8. He signed a minor league deal with Yankees which is slightly gross, but I seriously hope he can make it to the MLB as a RP.
  9. So you're saying he didn't actually strike out the side? Yes I am that guy!
  10. I don't like seeing Luis Pena removed early from a game on deadline day. I don't want him to be hurt, and I most definitely don't want him to be traded.
  11. DSL Brewers 1 just scored 2 runs in one of the most DSL ways I have ever seen. Fly out HBP Fly out Strikeout (reached on wild pitch) Strikeout (reached and throwing error by catcher turns into 2 runs) Groundout That's DSL baseball baby
  12. Basically every prospect person I've seen has thought the trade was terrible. I've seen some speculation that Crane meddled and forced the move. Aram from Just Baseball said he probably wouldn't even do that trade if Kikuchi had another year of control.
  13. 9 more years because Chourio has 2 club options.
  14. I don't think the Brewers would even be towards the middle of the list, but I think our pitchers have generally been better at going 5-6 innings since basically Gasser was promoted.
  15. Yeah hard pass on Skenes. He's no doubt amazing, but after he wins ROY he has 5 seasons of control after this one not 6 and I will always take a star position player over a star pitcher because of the extra injury risk for pitchers. I did read that article and they basically said if Chourio pans out he will be the top of that list and he's starting to look like a legit superstar. I think if that list gets remade at the end of the season he would be a lot higher than 25.
  16. I know it's just 1 inning, but if Brewers can get Mears to stop hanging his breaking balls, he will be a monster.
  17. Chourio isn't eligible for PPI rewards because he signed an extension before debuting. At this point we really should root for Skenes to win it. The Pirates won't get a pick because Skenes didn't debut early enough and Skenes winning ROY makes his season count as a full year of service time so Pirates would go from 6 more years of Skenes to 5 more years of Skenes if he wins ROY.
  18. Now here's an interesting question. In a 1-1 trade, would you trade Jackson Chourio for anyone in the league? Assuming Brewers aren't going to go crazy on payroll so no Ohtani. Personally, I think the only player in the league I would even contemplate is Bobby Witt Jr but even then Chourio is guaranteed 3 more years of team control and cheaper.
  19. Kikuchi just got a Top 100/fringe Top 100 MLB ready pitching prospect and 2 additional prospects. People are way underrating what it would take to get Flaherty.
  20. Misiorowski's instagram account basically confirmed it.
  21. Brewers have used an opener about a dozen times at this point. Have other teams done that? If not that's definitely going to skew our SP/RP numbers.
  22. Also umps had bigger strike zones and hitters were worse.
  23. Don't believe random twitter accounts that pretend they are insiders and spam rumors.
  24. Brewers are aggressively pursuing Flaherty according to a Tigers beat reporter
