  1. Hayden Robinson, 18 year old and 14th round pick last season, with a fantastic start for the ACL Brewers tonight. 4.2 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 9 SO, 1 HBP
  2. 2-0 lead against Biloxi is a pretty formidable lead unfortunately.
  3. I've long felt the first part is true. I think no way Hader gets traded then if he wasn't slumping so bad the month up to the deadline.
  4. Robert Murray essentially confirmed this to be true. They were trying to immediately trade Ruiz for a bat but that fell through. We know the A's were in love with Ruiz, so maybe we were trying to trade for Sean Murphy and A's didn't like the secondary pieces we were willing to offer.
  5. I think BA is so much better than Levering at filling the down time and small talk moments of a game, but man Levering absolutely schooled BA on the Gary Sanchez HR call. His radio call was fantastic. Levering has gotten so much better at the hype moments and I think all of the national games from BA has hurt his hype calls.
  6. While they suck we do face their two best SP who have both been good this year in Fedde and Crochet.
  7. They only traded for Ruiz to try and flip him. Robert Murray confirmed a couple weeks ago that the Brewers were trying to flip Ruiz at the same deadline they got him.
  8. Probably true although with a fast runner I am usually fine with the aggressive sends. It's when they get aggressive with slower guys that makes me mad.
  9. Not very good. Command has been terrible. He's not getting many whiffs or strikeouts and has been giving up a bunch of free passes. I wouldn't want him pitching in the MLB pen right now.
  10. I never saw a good view of what actually happened, but Baez was grabbing his right shoulder in a ton of pain. Looks like a potentially major injury.
  11. Corniel gives up a grand slam. The hitter was smart to just be sitting dead red. Corniel had no feel for his slider and couldn't get one close to the strike zone. Hitter waited for the FB and crushed it to LF over the scoreboard.
  12. Corniel seems to have completely lost it this inning. I would not be shocked if he doesn't finish this inning.
  13. David Garcia rips a double high off the wall in RF. 2 runners score. Runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out still.
  14. Wow Reece Walling moved up to the cleanup spot today. Really cool to see. His first AB as a cleanup hitter he shoots a 104 EV liner to left field for a single. Hit too hard to drive Pratt in from 2B.
  15. Yophery with another strikeout looking. He's clearly been watching too much Brewers film.
  16. Why not just let him catch both? Contreras has been slumping with the bat. His xwOBA over his last 50 PA is .307. Maybe shown signs of fatigue 2 months into the year. He's on pace to catch almost 240 more innings than last year.
  17. Most people probably don't care because it's incredibly easy to get a free Apple TV trial to watch the game. There's some people here who feel everything is worth complaining about that make up a vocal minority because most people just don't care enough to even mention it.
  18. I mean I don't know what other numbers would matter. wRC+ is how they hit. Runs per game is how they scored. The people here who still insist that offense was not good just refuse to acknowledge how down the run scoring environment was in 2022. I don't have the exact numbers in front of me but the Brewers were one of the best teams in the MLB at scoring 4+, 5+, and 6+ runs. You just remember that the offense went cold at the end of the season and that raw numbers were unimpressive (because league offense was down) so you remember it as a bad offense. That's not what reality said.
  19. Let's see the numbers for everyone else.
  20. It was about the 10th best offense in the MLB by runs per game and wRC+. Pretty far from "the team in general couldn't hit" like you claimed.
  21. The 2022 team had a good offense. It was the pitching that let that team down.
  22. Would be very baseball for the Brewers to go what 30 innings this year without scoring a run against a Cubs SP just to score runs against Imanaga today who like you said is a really, really bad on paper matchup for the Brewers
  23. Eduarqui Fernandez hits a 2-run bomb to left and we are tied!
