  1. Boeve with his 2nd HR and I'm more excited seeing Juan Baez following it up with a BB
  2. Turang had a 51 wRC+ when he was optioned to AAA. After that HR his wRC+ is up to 76. What a dramatic turnaround he has had with almost all of this damage coming after he changed his stance and hand placement. Getting that bat to the zone much quicker which is leading to a lot of pulled balls in the air.
  3. Was trying to be generous haha
  4. Just your weekly Biloxi bullpen choke tonight.
  5. Burnes command was legit terrible tonight. Only 3 non-cutters in the strike zone the entire night and so many cutters right over the heart of the plate. Super fortunate he didn't give up more than 2 runs.
  6. Pinch hitting Tyrone for a contact hitter with 2 outs just makes zero sense.
  7. Glad it worked out leaving Burnes in. Still think it was the wrong decision with Burnes command though.
  8. Leaving Burnes in with his command looking this terrible. Just asking for trouble. Not a fan of this from Counsell.
  9. Burnes with another 3-2 throwaway pitch!
  10. Caratini just wanted a cutter low and away and Burnes missed all the way on the inside edge. Just no command tonight.
  11. Burnes with the nice throwaway pitch on the 3-2 count.
  12. Nah. Burnes is absolutely not trying to throw these pitches 6+ inches off the plate giving the hitters easy takes.
  13. Yeah his bad command has really hurt him today. Really inflated the pitch count and just costed him 2 runs after going up 0-2 against the 8 hitter and subsequently walking him.
  14. Also since Frelick debuted he's 5th on the team in PA. He's getting plenty of game time.
  15. Wiemer has basically played every day this season. He's second in games played behind Yelich.
  16. Great play from Tyrone. Got a great jump on that one.
  17. Tyrone is 1-1 with a single and you're complaining about him being in the lineup.
  18. Looks like he pitched 97 in JUCO in 2021. I imagine they have him finish around that number this year. Maybe closer to 80 than 100 but he's already at 56 and has maybe 6 more starts.
  19. Again the offense was good last season. They made moves to improve the 2021 offense in season and that overall was a solid offense. This is the first year the offense has been a disaster. It hasn't been a trend.
  20. Logan Henderson twirled another gem today. 6 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 9 SO. Can we get this guy to Appleton already?
  21. It will likely be Andrews going down when Woodruff gets activated tomorrow. Brewers have 13 pitchers on the active roster, so they can't send a position player down for Woodruff. Brewers just selected Andrews because he's a fresh bullpen arm, so Brewers can throw him 1-2 innings today if need be and preserve their current bullpen arms.
  22. Yeah I am going to agree with Fear the Chorizo here. Since the All-Star break Adames has a .306 xwOBA in 86 PA with a 31% K-rate and from the All-Star break to the end of July, he had a .311 xwOBA with a 31% K-rate. Him having a great start to July doesn't mean that much considering he's been bad since the All-Star break both on the expected side, on the results side, and on the eye test. He's consistently putting up some of the worst AB on the team right now. I certainly hope you are right that the slump is finally ending, but nothing I am seeing from a stats perspective or eye test perspective leads me to believe the slump is ending.
  23. If Bryse Wilson continues to be plagued by the HR ball, might be worth giving Lauer a chance in a mop up/innings eater role in the pen.
  24. It wasn’t in this thread, but a lot was said on the site about how dumb the Brewers FO was for letting Erceg go. After tonight, Erceg’s ERA is up to 6.40 and his WHIP is 1.73…maybe the FO knew what they were doing after all.
