  1. Rom was the one sent down for Woodruff. We are going to need our starters to step up this series with a light bullpen. Kuhnel, Yoho, Anderson, Ashby, Uribe, and Megill are the only guys who will be available the next two days and potentiall the entire series.
  2. Kind of shocking that he reacted like that to an ankle sprain though maybe it's just frustration to finally getting in rhythm after a long injury absence to just get injured again.
  3. I know he's gotten a lot of hype based on his hot start but Frontado didn't make the DSL Roboscout list. Moneys and Matos did. It makes me wonder if Frontado's EV aren't anything special.
  4. All I was doing was sharing stats that add context to a question. That's it. You just don't like what the stats say.
  5. No my answer is it's way too close for anyone to say one or the other is the clear choice. These are very similar level hitters against RHP both in their careers and since Vaughn became a Brewer.
  6. Career vs RHP Vaughn - .246/.299/.403, 95 wRC+ Frelick - .268/.339/.373, 101 wRC+ Since start of 2025 vs RHP Vaughn - .238/.286/.381, 84 wRC+ Frelick - .274/.344/.406, 111 wRC+ Since Vaughn’s Brewer debut vs RHP Vaughn - .265/.324/.423, 107 wRC+ Frelick - .270/.347/.404, 111 wRC+
  7. And I'm saying whichever one was starting the game. Against RHP they are basically the same level hitter. There's no obvious answer and anyone saying there is just isn't being truthful.
  8. I need this second announcer for Biloxi to get on Javik's level when it comes to giving the EV on HR.
  9. Whichever one started the game. If it was Frelick then let Frelick hit. If it was Vaughn then let Vaughn hit. Neither are good enough to justify the pinch hit tax to hit for the other one.
  10. Rom isn't really a long guy. He's only gone more than 6 outs one time this year and has never thrown more than 38 pitches. I also just don't really know who is being optioned. Gasser doesn't make sense with the big 18 in 17 coming up starting on Friday because you're going to need length. If it's not Gasser then Rom or Yoho would be the obvious answers but if either of them are going down, why weren't they used today?
  11. Frias associated with a very fun name in BA's roboscout article today. For reference Florentino is currently the #18 prospect in baseball according to BA
  12. Don't think the sexist comment was necessary
  13. If he starts play a lot more 3B then I think it could be an option but so far he's only played 5 games at 3B on the season.
  14. Well Luke Adams sure showed me with his performance today lol
  15. That's good though I think I probably would have gone with say your back is bothering you on 4/11/24
  16. Going to need the bats to show up big in Cincy with no Patrick for the series.
  17. I don’t think it will be Gasser sent down. Brewers start an 18 in 17 stretch on Friday. Don’t think the Brewers are in a spot to option an arm that can give them length
  18. And when he throws all 3 innings to finish the game then what?
  19. Because you shouldn’t be using your 4th best reliever and best long arm up 7 runs. Especially taking into consideration the Brewers have Woodruff making his first start off a long IL stint and Sproat pitching the next two days where you very well could need a long arm.
  20. Surely Murphy isn’t going to burn our 4th best reliever up at least 6 runs in the 7th inning
  21. Honestly I have a bigger gripe with Contreras pitch calling to Albies than Murphy's managing. You already saw Albies hit a FB away out to RF tonight and he once again was clearly looking for Ashby's sinker based on him being way out in front on the changeup and nearly chasing the curveball in the dirt the pitch before. You got burned once. Getting burned twice by the same guy in the same fashion was very frustrating.
  22. Spencer walked back that post a bit when he realized Megill has had reverse splits his whole career. I think the numbers certainly back up that it should have just been Megill as always especially when you take into consideration Ashby hasn't been pitching particularly well lately and he has very little experience closing out games (only 1 traditional save in his career and that was in a 3 run game) wRC+ vs RHP then vs LHP Baldwin - 130, 178 Olson - 141, 143 Albies - 101, 120 Harris - 143, 122 Then here are the platoon splits for Megill and Ashby wOBA vs RHH then LHH Megill - .298, .190 Ashby - .292, .293
  23. Pirates load up the bases again tonight in the 9th down by 1 in Coors. This time with 1 out. They don't get a run across and lose. The game ended on an interference call on a grounder to 3B.
