  1. I feel bad for DSL Red Sox Red. Having to face Steven Duran and Diustin Mayorquin in the same game just isn't fair. Those two combined for a dominant 8 innings today. Duran - 5 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 5 SO, 2 HBP Mayorquin - 3 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 6 SO
  2. I don't recall the numbers but I think it was Hogg or one of the Brewers beat guys in the last couple weeks who said the Brewers had the most unearned runs scored in MLB and it wasn't particularly close. Edit: Found the tweet from Dom. It was tweeted almost a month ago but at that time there was a substantial gap between us and 2nd
  3. 1. Frelick 2. Chourio 3. Contreras 4. Yelich 5. Vaughn 6. Collins 7. Turang 8. Durbin/Seigler 9. Ortiz
  4. And Perkins will be a defensive replacement late when the team is ahead as well. We already saw it when Frelick was out. Chourio moved to left and Collins was replaced by Perkins with Perkins in CF
  5. Yeah it is unfortunately a really nice contract for the Cubs. Not a ton of risk maxing out at 3 years if he struggles and if he's good (like he is) then it's a really affordable 5 year contract.
  6. Oh definitely not a basic play. That ball had a crazy amount of spin on it and George is one of the fastest players in MiLB and was already moving towards 1B on the swing. Fischer could have played it better but that was not an easy play when you consider who was running. Frankly if Fischer had just let it go that ball probably goes foul that's how much side spin was on it.
  7. Man they gave him an error on the squibber by George? That's super harsh. That thing had a ton of spin and with George running he probably needed to barehand it to have a shot.
  8. It was a really fun game tonight. Great Lakes threw some pretty quality arms in terms of stuff at the T-Rats tonight. Made and Pena both looked good and the way they swing the bat just looked a cut above everyone else on the field tonight. Will say that I was bummed to have probably witnessed Dinges worst game as a pro. Some of the fans around me were being very harsh towards him and I just had to bite my tongue in response lol.
  9. I was there and she got both calls wrong and both were really bad misses. The play at 1st was pretty egregious. When everyone around you was like wow that was a bad call when it benefits your team you know you messed up bad.
  10. Wonder if this means Seigler is headed for a concussion IL stint
  11. Interesting decision on their part. Wonder how they will get him playing time. Are they going to cut Happ, Suzuki, Tucker, and PCA's PA to get Cassie in there? All 4 of those guys have been slumping for a bit.
  12. As a San Jose Sharks fan I very much dislike this
  13. Jose Anderson breaks up the no hitter with a sharp grounder between the 3B and SS. Di Turi comes to the plate as the tying run.
  14. Carolina are 2 outs away from being no hit in the second doubleheader
  15. Burke's start in AA has been strange in the sense that he's doing basically everything he wasn't doing in A+ in terms of power output. Love to see it but very confused about it. He just roped a 107 EV double to right center that one hopped off the wall.
  16. I mean my goodness, this is a ridiculous amount of entitlement because players didn't sign autographs. Edit: I just want to clarify that it’s fine to be disappointed they didn’t sign autographs but the over the top character assassination trying to label them as selfish or disrespectful is just extremely entitled. The players are not required to sign autographs before the games and it’s been two games.
  17. I think you're missing some names and ignoring some context. Many on this board said Pratt and Lara would start at A+ this year. Both were aggressively started at AA. Wilken has some pretty major injury context to his struggles in AA last year. Boeve was great in 2024 before he had offeason shoulder surgery. Adams has been promoted aggressively to start every season. Each year he has gone up a new level. EBJ wasn't aggressively promoted. He was a college guy who basically spent an entire (injury riddled) season at A+ then went to AA in the last week of the season.
  18. Yeah this is just very contrary to how the Brewers have operated the last few years. Brewers are very aggressive with their start of season assignments. AAA - Pratt (SS), Wilken (3B), Adams (1B) AA - Fischer (3B), Made (SS), Pena (2B), Burke (1B) A+ - Di Turi (SS), Adamczewski (2B), Bitonti (1B)
  19. Kuehner with a mistake pitch to Seymour. 93mph sinker right down the middle in a 3-2 count. Still a heck of a AAA debut. 5.1 IP, 6 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 4 SO and 19 whiffs
  20. Tyler Black has looked rough tonight. For a guy who is supposed to have an elite eye and great hit tool, he just is going down way too easily most AB. 1st AB - 6 pitch strikeout with 3 whiffs 2nd AB - 4 pitch weakly hit GIDP with 3 pitches catching a huge amount of the plate 3rd AB - 3 pitch strikeout with 3 whiffs, strike 3 was chasing a changeup in the dirt. More and more he's looking like a change of scenery candidate in the offseason
  21. Kuehner through 4 innings - 4 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 3 SO. 15 whiffs (43%), 87 Avg EV, 20% hard hit rate
  22. Kuehner a bit wild in the first 2 innings but looking really impressive outside of that. 9 whiffs on 19 swings so far.
  23. Kuehner just threw a 97.0mph FB to the first hitter.
