  1. Man I wonder when the last time both of our DSL teams were below .500 at the same time. Very slow starts for our three biggest bonuses of the IFA class. Fenelon is leading the way with a .506 OPS, Antunez is at a .451 OPS, and Acosta still has yet to get his first pro hit starting the year 0-25 with a .074 OPS.
  2. Man the Wisconsin and Carolina pitching staffs are looking extremely thin right now. Carolina has 13 healthy pitchers. Wisconsin has 12 healthy pitchers.
  3. It seems Tanner Gillis might be dealing with something considering he didn’t start last week and he’s not listed as one of the starters for this week for Wisconsin.
  4. Both DSL teams fall again today. They move to a combined 5 game losing streak. Slow start to the year.
  5. Cristopher Acosta hasn't had a very fun start to his professional career. He's 0-21 with 2 BB to start the year.
  6. No you're not getting Jordan Westburg for a hodgepodge of solid prospects.
  7. It's been said a few times but there's no space for Burke in AA until one of Wilken, Adames, Boeve get promoted to AAA unless they want Adams to get reps in LF.
  8. Boeve drew a walk after the Adams HBP and while Montgomery made a pitching change Adams was pinch ran for. Looks to have hopefully avoided a major injury.
  9. Brody Hopkins just hit Luke Adams up near the face. Look like it caught the face protector though. Adams is staying in the game.
  10. Timber Rattlers are above .500!
  11. Yeah you just don't understand what they are saying. Nobody is saying "oh wow that's unlucky it was caught" on a lineout right at an infielder. They are saying it's unlucky that the ball was hit right at the infielder. Perfect example is the Ortiz lineout to Tatis that you made a fuss about earlier in the thread. Nobody was saying that's unlucky that Tatis caught it. They were saying it was unlucky for Ortiz to put a really nice swing on the ball and have it end up in an OF glove.
  12. I'm calling BS on savant's distance on Ernesto's HR. 110.6 EV, 30 LA only going 389ft sounds like a load of crap.
  13. I'd like to see him get moved up to Biloxi soon to see how the bat looks there. He can play pretty well both SS and CF and has above average power. Definitely a guy you'd like to keep in the org if he can go to AA this year and keep the K-rate under 30% and still flash the power/glove combo.
  14. Just say you don't understand what the numbers mean. xBA is just measuring is EV and LA (sprint speed on topped batted balls). It does not factor in what direction you hit the ball. It does not factor in where the defense is positioned. It doesn't factor in backspin/top spin. Just because you don't know what it means and are trying to interpret it as hit probability doesn't mean it's useless.
  15. Also pulled Bauers for a defensive replacement when the game was tied. Collins struck out twice in Bauers spot in the order
  16. Man I hope Travis Smith is okay and the short hook was planned today. I know he was pitching on 4 days rest so maybe it was intentionally short but 31 pitches in 3 innings and getting pulled with the state of the Mudcats pitching staff doesn't feel very intentional.
  17. Peralta isn't an ace, but to answer your question, yes the Brewers should never pay market value for a good SP in FA.
  18. Pretty sure Murphy just in the last couple of days said the hope for both is early July
  19. NL Central also has by far the best run differential of the divisions.
  20. Considering Collins has basically been corner OF Blake Perkins with a better bat, I’ve started to wonder if they might just option Perkins to AAA and let him get a lot of reps there after a long absence. Assuming Mitchell is healthy because then Perkins CF defense isn’t as necessary.
  21. Yeah. Brewers specifically targeted him in a trade and he’s been absolutely lights out flashing really good stuff and now potentially adding a changeup as well. I don’t think we need to worry about this one. He’s going to be added to the 40 before he can elect FA.
  22. It will be interesting to see how they manage Coleman Crow's innings this year. He's already up to 37 IP but he's coming off throwing 24 innings total the last 2 years. He did throw 128 innings in 2022 though. Maybe they can get him to around 100 innings? That would set him up well next year to jump to like 120-140 innings.
  23. Also left the game with a trainer that he called for. Nightmare start to his first pro season.
