    Uribe's slider is nasty. Hunter Brown got asked during the ASB what is one pitch he wishes he could add and he said Bryan Abreu's slider or Uribe's slider. You know a pitch is nasty when an AL starter is talking about how he wishes he could add an NL reliever's pitch

    Have we had any clarification if Ty Duvall is actually on the development list in AAA or did he transition to a coaching role as bullpen catcher?

    You can only backdate a player three days from when you put them on the IL.

    I feel like I've said this like 20 times at this point so one more won't hurt but the Brewers had plenty of 40-man spots available. It was never Tyler Jay or Shane Smith for the last 40-man spot. Even after drafting Connor Thomas in the Rule 5 draft, I believe they had 3 open spots on the 40.

    If money doesn't matter then it shouldn't matter to the Brewers ownership group as well, right? Can't they just match the best offer Woodruff gets? The ownership group is far wealthier than any player. Why is the onus on the player to sacrifice money and not on the ownership group valued in the billions? Woodruff is selfish if he takes the best offer in FA, but the Brewers ownership group isn't selfish for valuing an annual profit over keeping him around?

    Yeah it's certainly interesting. Especially because you'd assume the earlier rounds would have priority over the 17th rounder. Maybe his bonus is going to be surprisingly on the low side?

    He was literally on Foul Territory within the last week and talked about having multiple offers. Question starts at 15:15. Also here's a excerpt from an MLB.com article in February 2024 shortly after he signed where it was said he nearly signed with another team before Milwaukee made it's final pitch.

    Tough year for him. Maybe you've had a recent update and I missed it, but any news on Broughton and if/when he will pitch this year?

    Who are you DFA'ing to make that happen? Also while Oliva's production looks quite good, the underlying numbers are really bad pretty much across the board.

    You recall incorrectly. He's spoken about it publicly that he had multiple offers there at the end.

    The buyout really doesn't matter after it happens. It's sunk cost at that point. Like Woodruff isn't going to accept the QO saying I'm getting $30M to stay in Milwaukee.

    UDFA are the same as rounds 11-20. Anything over $150K counts against the bonus pool.

    No Woodruff owes nothing to the Brewers. He had multiple suitors and chose to come back to Milwaukee. It's not like the Brewers threw him a bone when nobody else in MLB wanted him.

    Yeah called up on 6/12 so 45 days service time is 7/26.

    Misiorowski hits 45 days service time in 10 days.

    I can't say I pay super close attention but do you guys also keep track of prospect graduations? For example Misiorowski will probably be 1 or 2 on the prospect rankings but he's set to graduate from prospect status just a few days after the voting closes.

    Wouldn't it make more sense to wait until we know what picks sign and after the trade deadline where some prospects may be traded?

    If he was for sure down for the year they would have put him on the full season IL. Moving him from the 7 Day to the 60 Day just makes it so he no longer counts toward the 165 player stateside limit.

    So 151 haha. I am including Elvin Rodriguez as well who is technically not on Nashville's roster as he's still in the DFA process. So technically it's 150 at the moment. Edit: Avans is also in the DFA process so technically 149. I've been slacking

    By my sheet the Brewers now have 13 open slots on the 165 player stateside limit. 33 in AAA, 30 in AA, 31 in A+, 31 in A, 27 in ACL for 152.
