  1. And progress is being made fixing the starter arm void with adding projectable arms in the last 2 IFA classes and of course the ‘23 draft adding 13 arms from which to work with. With all of the pre-arby positional talent ahead and team friendly deals with Peralta-Ashby, they should be able to add a nice FA starter to go with the aforementioned pair and Gasser-CRod-Rea for the ‘25 season. And if they can turn Misiorowski into a real starter — look-out.
  2. Absolutely is. This team’s infrastructure is as good as there is in baseball. PDS-analytics-amateur draft department-IFA department- independent league scouting-catching development, and with the changes made to the hitting development in ‘19 &’20, hopefully the final piece comes together.
  3. I want to see Henderson facing A+ hitters please.
  4. Absofrigginglutely. Considering market-size, this ownership group is outstanding, and Mark Attanasio, specifically, just a wonderful owner. His skill level in hiring the right talent to lead this franchise has been incredible. He was smart enough to recognize a generational talent in Stearns and in retaining another in Arnold. The criticism this team gets from some is outrageous. This team, thanks to MA and his hires, now have an infrastructure in place to win a championship/championships over the next decade. This last draft-class is a preview of what’s ahead.
  5. His high EV’s suggest it’s not a mirage. This is a steal of a draft-pick.
  6. Disagree. Even with all the command & control problems he still K’d 9 in less than 4 innings. This guy needs challenged, not babied.
  7. Quero back! Great news. Hope he can hit the ground running.
  8. Pratt-Bitonti-Wilken-Boeve-Knoth are all future top 100 potentials, so are Lara-Adams-YRod-Baez-Nadel-Ereu.
  9. Arnold isn’t going anywhere.
  10. This team is now like Tampa — next man up. The systems are in place, like at Tampa, for the quality infrastructure train to keep rolling along. Mike Groopman gets poached, Klentak gets hired, and the last 2 IFA classes were arguably their best back-to-back classes in team history. Not concerned in the least.
  11. The future of this team is incredible, with their worst team of the rest of this decade being next season, and even next season they will contend if they hold Adames & Woodruff for the picks, and trade Burnes. The combination of an elite infrastructure, FO, strong farm and good big-league team with a nice young core assures this of happening, imo. Next year — A rotation of Woodruff-Peralta-Ashby-Houser Rea-Gasser-Miley?/FA along with a Williams-Payamps-Peguero-Uribe-Milner bullpen gives the team a championship-type pitching-staff to contend even with a young & dynamic positional core, outside of Yelich-Adames-Contreras, that’s still developing. ’25 — we get 4 of the top 35 picks in the draft along with the pool money that comes with it giving the team yet another potential franchise-altering draft (‘23 being the other) just adding to the strength of the ‘28-‘30 teams. The ‘25 team positionally, should be developed to the point it will overcome the losses of Adames & Woodruff in the rotation and possibly the trading of Williams at the deadline, with the team also saving enough salary to add a FA pitcher or 2 to go with Peralta-Ashby-Gasser-CRod-Blaylock-Misiorowski. ’26 is where the fun really begins with the maturation of Turang-Wiemer-Frelick-Black taking hold and the overwhelming talent of Chourio-Quero making this the fastest, most exciting team in baseball, with a young stable of arms that can pitch.
  12. Arguably the second-closest to the bigs is Blaylock, behind Gasser, obviously. My mistake.
  13. A- Santana for Severino > A — The 1B defensive upgrade is huge. Love the switch-hitting bat as well. Losing Severino stings because of the power potential but 3-4 years away helps along with the power 3Bbats added in the last 2 drafts. Canha for Jarvis > B+ — Canha is definitely a bat upgrade. Love his AB’s, baserunning and defensive versatility. Chafin for Strz > B — Definitely a win now move. Chafin helps move this years pen towards monstrous. Strz is a low heart-rate future bullpen mainstay. Fortunately, this team has quite the reliever factory. Urias for Blaylock > A+ — A future potential mid-rotation starter for 3 months of a bad baseball player — best trade they made at the deadline. Urias is playing on bad legs, becoming one of the slowest players in baseball that was not going to get tendered anyhow, and to get arguably our closest SP prospect to the bigs for him is a huge win in my book. Jackson for McKendry > B+ — Adding a AAA pitching prospect for a AAAA catcher is a win for me. CH is quite a weapon. The team is better offensively, defensively, running the bases and in the bullpen. All this without hurting the farm. Bravo to the FO.
  14. Losing Chirino & Yeager has hurt the Biloxi bullpen. Hopefully they will both be healthy to start off next season and not be with Biloxi long before getting the bump to Nashville. Both have good potential to be a part of the MKE shuttle next season at some point in time.
  15. Pitcher would be Ashby if he’s ready.
  16. An ascending Adames in the box the rest of this year and this team runs away with the central.
  17. Bitonti with a triple and a HR in his first 2 AB’s. Pratt a hit. Boeve a hit.only the second inning so plenty of AB’s left to go.
  18. Bitonti with 2 hits including a HR. Pratt another hit, same with Boeve. Still early with lots of AB’s to go. This is fast becoming a special farm system.
  19. This organization’s positional talent at the DSL, Arizona & Carolina is quite extraordinary. I’ve been following the team’s minor-league play for half a century and I’ve never seen the numbers of hitting talent like they have right now. Adding a couple of power bats from this last draft (Wilken & Bitonti) with a couple more future potentials in Boeve & Pratt helps put a dent in one of the biggest organizational weaknesses— lack of power bats. Another draft with a couple of power bats added (dream scenario: SS & OF),a Burnes trade? (Stud positional added) and this farms positionals could stack-up with the best systems in baseball.
  20. If he touched 94, that’s a huge improvement over the last time he pitched for Nashville. If I remember correctly he could barely touch 90. Gives me hope for the future with Lauer again. Best news of the day for me. Oh, and Woody getting over 70 pitches tonight is a close second.
  21. Reyes is quite the intriguing LH arm. 19 years old with a projectable body. Liking the international arms added the last couple of years, and especially at the bonus numbers given out.
  22. Jarvis-Lara-Adames for: Jiminez & Anderson + $. The Brewers have been rumored to be interested in adding an IF, so Tim Anderson makes a lot of sense in addition to Jiminez. BTV has the both of them combined at near 0 SV, so the money helps get the Chisox the trio of talent, which according to BTV is near $10M. So Jiminez & Anderson & $10M seems like a pretty fair deal to me, and one I’d do. Love Adames, love Lara, but both are 3+ years away. The team added 3B depth with Wilken-Bitonti that replaces the 3B depth lost in Severino and Adames. Team has OF depth up the ying-yang, so losing Lara is tolerable. Jarvis is a backend starter at best, so that’s replaceable as well. Team can play Anderson at 2B, and also spell Adames. Anderson is only 30 and a better ball-player than he’s currently showing. Getting him and Jiminez away from that dysfunctional team and organization should do wonders for the both of them.
  23. Or any team for that matter, being the best team in baseball. The Brewers are the biggest wild card team in baseball, and it’s not just because of getting Woodruff-Miley and Ashby back soon. Its the potential positive regression of Adames, development of Turang-Wiemer at the plate, Urias finding his stroke, Hiura’s possible addition and potentially more offense acquired in the next 2 1/2 days. This team could be a force entering September (Craigtember).
  24. Long-term deals for both Chourio & Quero. The young ages they will hit the bigs warrant an all-out effort at extending them into their early 30’s, to potentially get 8+ prime years from both. The ability of this team to discern/scout upside pitching past the first round is extraordinary and when combined with the PDS that gives me extreme confidence in the pitching train moving along quite nicely far into the future. Having elite prospect procurement systems will help keep the team from having to sell-off most of their good veterans, thus avoiding down periods and keep this a contending team year after year. MA — extend Arnold-Johnson-Klentak and Greene please.
