  1. This game is following a very similar trajectory to the M's-Jays Gm1... Snell is just so nasty right now. But, as you said, one AB.
  2. Yeah... didn't look as sharp. Just need to keep them here and... despite everyone calling it a wrap with 12 outs left, I think we're going to get something going offensively.
  3. Just get some action going. Make Muncy move a bit at 3rd. Just turn into slap hitters... at least for those matchup's.
  4. That's alright... we'll get to their pen. Just keep them here.
  5. Yeah... but you have 45K people screaming and going nuts, you're probably not looking at the extra ump who isn't normally there. You SHOULD be or you should be getting more help from your coaches, but.. realistically, you're not. It's all moot if the Brewers can't keep the Dodgers off the board and get some runners on themselves.
  6. I'm talking about the runner on 3rd. I totally get the other guys being confused, but HE should have scored either way. Very glad he had a little brain fart though.
  7. Yup... it was a weird situation and he obviously just made a mental mistake... Now I really wish Snell would make a physical one! Or the Brewers could lay off that ****** Changeup.
  8. That's a helluva play by Turang. The way this game has gone... they HAVE to find a way to score some runs.
  9. Yup... he is. He's got us all off balance with that change. Gotta get to this Dodgers pen. And GOTTA get Betts right here.
  10. No, if it's a juggled ball, you can leave as soon as it touches the glove. He didn't need to go back and tag up there. The second the ball touches leather, the runner can go. That was a big error on the Dodgers. I get the other guys being confused, but the guy on 3rd has zero excuses.
  11. Alright... make Ohtani hit with the bases empty. I like how he's throwing.
  12. That was impressive. I couldn't tell if he caught that. Would be nice if we could get a call at the plate as well...
  13. No... I don't think it's exaggerating to say that's up there.
  14. No... 1-I don't know that he's an upgrade from Ortiz. In fact... I'm going to bet he's a downgrade. He's not as good of a defender and I know how we're all writing off Ortiz after a poor offensive season this year, but I think he'll be closer to '24. He's got good bat speed, patience. BUT... lets say he is an upgrade. +100 OPS. That's not worth it for the Brewers to spend 20M AND; 2-We're trading a young, GG caliber SS in AA? A guy who COULD easily develop into a 20-25HR a year type threat... and what are we getting? If we were going to make a trade like that, I would have understood it if you wanted to add a guy like Duran or an elite BP arm with team control(don't think you're getting a better starter than we have). We MIGHT be able to spend 20-30M in Free Agency. I think that's an optimistic number. I don't actually think we will, but... lets say we have that much to spend. I don't want to spend it on the position with the most depth in the system.
  15. I don't believe he's saying the owners need to, but... the fanbase. And IMO, the answer to that is simple. The fan base has very little appreciation for what Selig actually did. Most remember or think of him as being a bad owner... because of Wendy Selig-Prieb years.
  16. I don't actually know if Valentine is worse or if they just ask very different things of him and Hobbs. They rotate their CBs and they've been playing a LOT more man the last two weeks. Valentine I think is the best in Man on the team... though Nixon has been solid and he's asked to cover the #1 more... Hobbs is much more physical and maybe better in zone. I'd have to watch these games over and a lot closer and with A22... and I'm just not invested enough to do that right now, but that's kinda my take from watching. Who you would want to add would depend entirely on what you're going to play. Marlon Humphrey would be a pretty solid addition... and the Ravens would probably just about give him away at this point, but I wouldn't want to be playing a lot of Man with him either. He's a ball hawk and a REALLY smart CB. I know he's been bad this year, but everything has gone wrong for Baltimore. DT, I think is probably fine, though if someone is cheap, it's always a good spot to upgrade. I think this is our team though. There's more than enough talent. They just have to put it together.
  17. Yup. That would be been nice as well. That feels like a more obvious pick(and someone on Twitter is doing a "the next player at this position drafted" on Twitter, but... I'm more... interested in that OL. You can win with pretty average QB play or even without great WRs(SF) if you have a dominant OL and DL. You're right though, for that exercise, Collins is the better or smarter value pick.
  18. The Saints almost have to be open. They've got... really nothing on that roster that's built for the future. Alontae Taylor is a CB I'd definitely be interested in as well as Shephard or Godchaux, Phillips from the Jets would be great, or someone like Shelby Harris, the Milwaukee native from the Browns. I'd include Ward, but I think THEY think they can compete in the near future, so doubt they trade him(he also hasn't been good with the Browns, so... if he's not good with that front...). Marlon Humphrey would be someone MAYBE worth taking a flier on. The Ravens are likely going to overhaul the CB room next year. Our Run D has been elite thus far... but so has our pass defense on paper(4th best vs the run, best vs the past in average yards per route).. but a couple area's we could clean up. Ronald McCreary from the Titans would be preferable, but I'd imagine they'd want to re-sign him. Kingsley Enagbare is one name I've seen suggested the Packers could trade. Especially with how well Barryn Sorrell looks in pretty limited snaps(hasn't put up any real numbers, but he's physical and is disruptive). My main issue is the OL... but, I don't think you can update the OL until the off-season, so gotta figure out a way to get them more reliable and Love more comfortable. Might have been better off just tanking in 2023 when we had a chance to take Joe Alt. ....if only 2021 NFL draft. RD 2 #62-Josh Myrers #63-Creed Humphrey Rd3 #85 Amari Rodgers #98 Quinn Meinerz RD6 #214-Cole Van Lannen #224-Trey Smith That was also the Royce Newman draft. Not taking Humphrey was just a bad decision then and there. The other two is totally revisionist history(though everyone WAS high on Meinerz). If they'd JUST taken Creed over Myers, you'd have the top Center in the game. If you'd have taken Meinerz, you've be spending your money on a 1st team AP instead of Aaron Banks. That'd be 1st team AP at C, G, 3rd team AP at RT. Morgan/Jenkins/Humphrey/Meinerz/Tom There's really no point to this other than I had some salt and decided to pour it in that wound... but that's not where we're at... and we've done alright with Tom in the 4th rd and Jenkins has been playing much better as the season has gone on.
  19. Yeah... I'm kinda hoping this is like years in the past where they start clicking later in the game, but... this team is just... missing something. I'm sure if they had Wyatt, Watson, Reed and Belton, it'd be a blowout, but you're never going to have everyone. It's the NFL. It kinda reminds me of when Rodgers was playing without Adams. Also, those bubble screens. They're not working, They need to develop something off of it. They definitely have the talent, but... they should have won this game far more easily. It was 0-0 and the Packers had ~150 yards to 1 yard. They dominated the Browns, Cowboys and then the first half vs the Bengals. This team is also better when they're playing with more pace. It wouldn't kill them to play with pace up a couple scores. Put the Bengals(or any of those teams) in a position where they have to attack, get more aggressive and then let the defense tee off. It seems like Love and the offense also get too conservative. Teams are playing press man and we're not taking shots vs that(except the one we took with Golden).
  20. Nixon plays the ball REALLY well. He's generally not great in man, but... he plays the ball. I'm skeptical of these CBs, especially in Man, but Nixon has been really good so far this year, but he's made more plays on the ball than any CB we've had outside of Jaire.
  21. Turang is now a Super 2, so I think 7/120 would probably be fair. Edit-NOW a Super 2, rather than "not" a Super 2. If he's not a Super 2, that'd adjust the number.
  22. Ok... starting with Mitchell, I wouldn't bank on him for anything... but I would be fine with starting the year with him in CF. If he gets hurt, Chourio moves over and Collins moves back into the starting lineup. Ortiz-I agree. Last years offense +this years defense and that's a ~3-4 WAR player. I don't know what happened to the bat speed or why the walk rate is off from last year, but... we saw Turang taking those defensive hacks. Also, we REALLY don't have much of a choice. We not going and giving up a lot in one of these really... overly complicated trades in which Chad Patrick is going there and 2-3 players are going to another team and we get a SS when.. we have 2 in AA and 1 in HiA. Adams, Wilken, Burke(though he's DH/1B only IMO) could also be ready next year. 2027 is going to suck because I feel like that's... our '94 Expos type season. But I'm not bringing up Made until that '27 season unless he's just SO good that he forces his way up.
