  1. April Fools Day is done, so locking this thread.
  2. For a team celebrating their 150th season, that sure is an empty stadium.
  3. I welcome our robot overlords at this point, if it gets us all away from guessing what is going to be a strike or a ball with every pitch.
  4. I will be there tomorrow. Proabbaly getting there early to have lunch at Friday's.
  5. It sucks that they're closing. My city isn't going to have any major retail to speak of. Have to drive about 20 minutes to a Walmart in any direction to get basic goods now. Read up on some of the vulture capital garbage that was involved to really make your blood boil. Execs got huge bonuses, and meanwhile, small towns lose retail options and jobs. It's messed up.
  6. Would be nice but in this particular person's case, I doubt it.
  7. I'm part of a small-ish family business. Any time I have to go in and cover for a sick (like vomiting sick) person, I get fearful of coming down sick myself. I've had the flu shot, etc. I just hate that I have to go in to work later and worry about catching what this other person has.
  8. Could it just be that the deal with American Family was finalized fairly late in the off-season, and they haven't had time to prepare a permanent piece yet?
  9. From what I vaguely remember, as The Destroyer, he was also basically the first American wrestler to become a really huge star in Japan. A true legend indeed.
  10. I agree, stay with the modern colors, other than certain "retro" games.
  11. "My biggest ask is for them to bring back the grey (late 80’s/ nearly 90’s I believe) road jerseys with Milwaukee across the chest. I love that uniform so much! I also would love to own that jersey and it’s so rediculous that you can’t get it." Agreed! Those were awesome jerseys. I would buy a replica one that isn't insanely expensive. As far as the primary logo, I used to firmly be in the camp that the ball & glove logo should mostly be left in the past, and that the current logo is a good one. I am starting to soften my viewpoint, and I think bringing back the ball & glove logo in the next season or two could be a good idea. The current logo has had a good run, and could still be used in a secondary setting.
  12. That sounds rough. Best wishes.
  13. Well, we definitely need one more mascot to go with the eight others we already have (the five racing sausages, Bernie, Hank, and Barrelman).
  14. Well, we all know Yost is a huge tech geek. I remember there was a story years ago, where he talked about one of his hobbies, which is fixing old computers.
  15. I like this deal, and wanted him back. Just seems like a good fit for this season. This year's lineup is shaping up to look pretty good.
  16. This is a pretty ridiculous statement. Everything we've heard is how Braun is a terrific, supportive teammate. Things Brewers fans will apparently never let go of: - Hank Aaron admitted to taking a "greenie" once. - Paul Molitor used cocaine in the '80s. - Ryan Braun took banned substances. - Josh Hader made some offensive tweets when he was in high school. - And I guess now, Brett Lawrie had his photo taken while doing dumb frat boy type stuff. I sometimes think no other fan base is harder on their own players than Brewers fans.
  17. Guys, everyone knows Stearns does advanced statistical analysis while he's sleeping.
  18. Well, still no Greinke, so I don't think there was anything to this "rumor" to begin with.
  19. We ended up having a good time. Our son had fun with some of the games and photo oppoutnity type things. Didn't get any autographs, but we didn't really care about that. Got a good deal on some cleanance Brewers merchandise. On a side note, we had lunch across the street at the Miller Time Pub & Grill, which was surprisingly good, and has a neat atmosphere.
  20. Two days = more $ and less busy We did get in shortly after I posted. I heard there's about 17,000 people here.
  21. Huge lines. Weve been in line for about 45 minutes to get in. They've stopped scanning tickets for right now to try and get the bottle neck to empty out a bit.
  22. Here's an interview with some comments from an American Family executive. He mentions that they "don't want a name that's five or six words long". https://www.tmj4.com/sports/baseball/milwaukee-brewers/american-family-insurance-responds-to-feedback-on-miller-park-name-change?fbclid=IwAR2gCzdE1J57gV42qnLLGlj2YYVomybOrGAXlpSRfYAbVFDDrdrDma7ftrM
