For years I would go to Fan services behind plate and not put two and two together that that was Bob. It would more be like that guy looks familiar.. where else have I seen him?

Feels like management likes him...maybe a lot. And Murphy is at the other end of the spectrum....similar to his feelings for Tyler Black. Opposite Murph's feelings to Blake Perkins.

That line of thinking still doesnt jive for me when as an organization they understandably nickel and dime guys in arby and as they jack up ticket prices especially over the last 3-4 years. I think they care about 22 mil. They coveted the draft pick more and thought they could get it maybe easily with Woody going elsewhere for a 2 or 3 year contract.

It was a Brewer gamble to get an extra pick. And it backfired... he took the 1 year offer. It's still money that could have been spent in a meaningful way elsewhere, beit another prospect extension or money thrown into the front office to keep personnel. Seemed and seems like a total waste. But yes, feel for Woodruff. He went through a lot of ups and downs over the last 4 years.

Didnt know that rule..or Forgot about it. I assumed anyone could be sent down after the 2nd game. Still think Gasser pitches then. And not convinced Miz is pitching next weekend. Maybe a bullpen game or Henderson throws two games next week.

GReat points…I agree that the double header would be a great time to pull Gasser back up. Meanwhile we get a guy to mop up some games and add depth to the bullpen. ANd Gasser might pitch the last game before the All Star break too….saving Miz.

For me, it’s about Skubal pitching meaningful games in October. And it’s thinkable to trade one good prospect like Pena when realizing there are no glaring open spots for him in the infield with all the other gobs of young talent. If that is all that it takes and we can get him from July 17- Playoffs, I think I do it. And most Brewers fans would be glad to risk it for a change.

Being tough and being stupid is a fine line. Managing from a separate room? I think the idiot’s guide to managing talks of this. Just take some time off, try to get closer to 100%, and trust your staff. And Arnold needs to step up here and take his dad’s car keys for a while for his own good. Do what is right is different than what is easiest. -
Our skip just had back surgery. Trying to be tough is one thing. Kudos. There is merit in trying to STILL be there and show these Brewers what it means to play thru it, grind, tough it out, and rub some dirt on it. But then again.., yeah,…it became much more than simple back surgery, if there is such a thing. The meds have undoubtedly worn down dramatically from Friday and he’s gotta be in some pain. And traveling now is not welcomed. And it could be made worse if he doesn’t properly take care of himself. Sitting out the next half month seems right and maybe shoot to join the team after the All Star break. Moreover, did anyone see or hear from him today? I probably missed it. Like I said, Friday he could be loosy goody from operation meds. Today is likely much different.

I am surprised they listed the starters ALREADY for this series. All the games? I get listing Monday and Tuesday. Listing Drohan for Thursday? I'd like him pitching middle relief tomorrow or Tuesday if need be. I think we are boxing ourselves in for tomorrow and maybe even Tuesday.

Yoho and Black….Murphy not a fan. Like he’s looking for a way or reason to get rid of them. No leash. Perkins….on the opposite end. Murphy wants to keep him. Like a coach’s kid that gets every opportunity. Not good enough to play regularly, but the coach finds a niche for him.

I would do it for Peña and change….some lower level minor league guys. Peña might be the best player offered at the deadline for Skubal and the Brewers system is deep. We also are so deep at middle IF it is nuts. We likely will be trading depth there at some point anyways. And if it’s not enough, it’s not enough. There is enough risk with Skubal’s injury to not get crazy and offer like 4-5 quality prospects for him.

Make it against CBA to negotiate/pay fee for Japanese league players. Let them sit in Japan and play there. It’s time for them to come here by way of draft and MLB Dollars to stay with drafted players…not 16 year olds in the Dominican republic or Japanese league teams.

Easy Vaughn…and manly for his extra base capability to score three to tie game or win it wi one swing. 1 run it is trickier since Frelick could tie it with a 10 pitch walk or win it with a knock.

It would work easy and seamlessly. How we are paying these high “fees” to Japanese teams is just plain stupid. Get players/management to agree and retain rights. The money stays in house.

How did US clinch round of 32 with two wins? Couldn’t two other teams in Group also still go 2-1 and US lose to go 2-1 and have a 3 team tie? Is this because possible 3rd place teams cannot get to two wins -6 points- anymore? Please explain.

If local TV money is pooled, the other stuff is minor. We could still excel at building a minor/major league roster with now added $ to extend even more players.
