    Bill- "That's a Right fielder's ball." Well, it fell almost exactly evenly between where they were playing, and it was actually in centerfield, so I don't think it was that cut and dried.

    With the Brewers having a 40-man roster crunch this offseason, I'd say it's pretty unlikely that Helling will be with the team in any role next season unless he agrees to a minor league deal with an invite to camp.

    Jenkins battling back issues, so I can't criticize the move, but Jenks makes that catch there. Hopefully it doesn't matter.

    And they leave a RHP in for Lyle anyway, so Jenks would face a lefty either way.

    They would have used one more against Overbay. They might not. Overbay hasn't exactly been lighting the world on fire against righties or lefties, so it's not a given, especially with Lyle's good splits in his career vs. LHP. Also, even if they brought one in for Overbay, they'd consider keeping him in through Lee, since Jenkins is our hottest hitter, so it makes the most sense to try and match him up vs. a lefty. And who's to say that they would have even brought in a lefty for Branyan? Russell is struggling against everything right now.

    I still can't believe Yost pulled Branyan early which allowed the Reds to save a lefty to face Jenkins. The Reds still have two lefties in the pen, so they would have had a lefty to face Jenkins regardless.
