Pratt has been in the league for 2 weeks and there’s already a book out on him that he can’t lay off a high fastball.
If he can’t fix that, it’s going to be hard for him to develop into even an average major league hitter.
They need a minimum of two relievers. Kuhnel is dog crap and should be DFAed tomorrow.
as it stands right now they are going to need the rotation to eat up a ton of innings in the playoffs.
Oh, now you want to get a hit with runners in scoring position.
Also - why in God’s name would you be risking getting thrown out at home with nobody out when your run is meaningless?
We gave away the tying run I guess we figured hell, might as well give away the winning run.
(Also this is freaking absolutely pathetic and embarrassing hearing the stadium erupt for this)
His bat is not why they signed him and he was not hitting particularly well in Nashville.
Not saying he couldn’t develop that part of his game someday, but he’s not currently going to be a high end MLB bat.
When Bauers hit that long foul I thought he was going to end up walking it off.
Then when he took a hanging curveball right down the middle on 2-1 I knew he was going to chase a pitch out of the zone to K.
Because his name is Christian Yelich and he’s the face of the franchise for this era of Brewer baseball.
Not saying that’s a good reason. But that’s the reason.
Thing is he’s pretty useless on the bench, too. Can’t even play a position so it’s not like you can plug him in for defense. All you can do is bring him in late against a righty or PR him in the last inning or two for Vaughn or Sanchez.
