  1. I was expecting a 77 win season, so I'm not really disappointed. I am sad that the team was going to be this bad with this much talent on it.
  2. Our pitching will get better if we get someone that can actually play 1B.
  3. For those of us "watching" on Gameday, did Holliday play the Weeks single off his cup?
  4. Everyone keeps mentioning 4 years. Isn't it possible for Dylan to become pro next summer. He could go to SD for one year, adjust to diabetes, and then go pro. It doesn't seem like he chose college for the degree, but he chose college because it is a more predictable life for his adjustment period.
  5. Jimenez also had more vertical movement on his four seam. It is sometimes referred to as a "rising fastball" because it seems to rise as it gets to the plate. A two seam fastball does not have the same amount of "lift".
  6. The first run that crossed the plate was the batter that should have been out. The 2nd run scored on the play in which the 2nd out (which should have been the 3rd out) was recorded. Then another run scored. All went unearned.
  7. If you watch the replay of that HR, you can see exactly when I realize Prince is going to scoot into home without the umps calling a dead ball. He was about 20 ft past 2nd, and I knew the RF could not get the ball in before he got home. I'm the one waving his arm like a moron.
  8. I unfortunately also saw 4 in a row. And I wasn't the only hoping for 5.
  9. My SO and I were following Toronto's almost no-no, and she commented that this would be the 3rd time this year for TB to be no hit. She said, "well, it sucks to be a fan of Tampa." I pointed out that they are 4 games up on the wild card and still trying to win a tough AL East. I said I'd gladly watch the Brewers be no hit 3 times in one year if it meant we still made the playoffs.
  10. I got free Diamond Box games for this game (the Brewers want to butter me up before they ask for payment towards next year). Here are some pictures we took. http://img835.imageshack.us/img835/6008/1001956.th.jpg What's up with the Reno like shorts on this coach? http://img651.imageshack.us/img651/9955/1001963m.th.jpg Wolf mid-pitch. http://img824.imageshack.us/img824/1622/1001965a.th.jpg Escobar making the leaping catch. http://img704.imageshack.us/img704/6376/1001966b.th.jpg The cornerstones. http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/6793/1001975.th.jpg Prince driving in Corey. http://img804.imageshack.us/img804/6936/1001992.th.jpg This is the delivery the creates save 597.
  11. Yes, I was there. I knew it had the distance as soon as it was hit, but was wishing it fair the entire way. It hit the pole dead on and ricocheted back onto the field. I was at the game with my dad. My SO got home at 8 and started watching the game. We were texting back and forth the entire time. After Fielder's single I simply texted, "Bedlam ensues". This was one of the more exiting games of 2010.
  12. It would count as a triple and a cycle. It would also fuel sports talk for several weeks.
  13. PNC bought National City bank. So all National City's in MKE were rebranded PNC.
  14. I don't think this team is having a problem scoring runs.
  15. Baseball Jesus admires every one of his HR's (and several of his fly outs), crowds the plate, and yet has only been hit once.
  16. We need Cappy for the next time a starter goes 3 innings (which with this pitching staff is every 3-4 days). Also, will Wolf be able to make his next start? Cappy might be saved for then.
  17. The leadoff triple Prince the intentional walk Casey makes them pay
  18. Ken acting like Ned Let pitcher hit for himself Pull after one hit
  19. Oufielders are hurt Inglett must face a lefty Wish we still had Cain
  20. I am at the game "The Kid" is the bobblehead At least keep it close
  21. That is one of the greatest throws I've ever seen. Unfortunately, I don't remember the date. I don't suppose anyone knows where the highlight could be found online?
  22. All brokers use straw men. The various employees all buy season tickets in their own name using company money. The company then sells them for a huge profit.
