  1. Hart + Hawkins or Cameron? I think I'd rather have Cam.
  2. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41J6MJG1W2L._SL500_AA250_.jpg I wash mine by hand, in the sink. A little detergent, let it soak in warm water for a bit, then rinse until the water runs clear. Let it dry on my head so it conforms and fits.
  3. From what I've heard, the ski slopes may not even be ready. It was the warmest January almost ever in Vancouver and they are frantically trying to get enough snow. Maybe they'll just have to take off the ski's and run down to the bottom.
  4. It's not revenue sharing in any way shape or form. It's the Cubs wanting money from other teams so they can make MORE MONEY for themselves! It's stealing from the poor to give to the rich.
  5. With FOX taking over next year, I think that the demographic for the music will swing younger. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see Jay Z or someone similar performing. I just can't believe the Foo Fighters and/or AC/DC haven't performed yet.
  6. Neither? Gallardo, Wolf, Bush, Suppan, Davis.... I wonder which of those you're already assuming won't be in the rotation.
  7. I can agree with that. When they achieved the #1 ranking a few years ago, as good as that team was, they were too reliant on Alando Tucker and that lead to the early exit. I won't agree with that. Their early exit was because Butch got hurt, they lost their 3nd leading scorer (and mismatch nightmare) and top rebounder/post defender. But man, this team is good. I've never thought I'd see a team as patient as Dick Bennet's squads again, but they just wait and wait until they get that solid look at the hoop... the best part is, they don't hesitate if it happens early in the shot clock.
  8. Considering they were at under 20M in 2000, it's pretty amazing.
  9. Puts the Twins payroll up and almost at $100M this year. Simply amazing.
  10. Through May, their Bullpen IP was middle of the pack. Once the injuries hit, their BP innings pitched skyrocketed (including a whopping 125 in Sept -- compared to 67 in April and 81 in May)They ended up throwing over 100 more bullpen innings last year than the Cardinals (544 to 437). The starting pitching went down the tubes in June-Sept, ERA up near 6, compared to right around 4.3 for April/May.
  11. If you want them ready to go, you can soak them over night and instead of boiling them in the beer, simmer them in the beer. A VERY slow cook in a frying pan (covered) with the brats 1/2 submerged in beer/onion mixture works best for me. Flip them after about 10 mins. 20 minutes of cook time, they will be cooked through, retain the brat flavor because they didn't split open (which happens quite often when you boil them) and the beer flavor can still be added when you pop them back in the bag/pot with the mixture. To reheat, either re-simmer, or just put the whole mixture in a pot, and warm it up. Yum.
  12. You can go vote on which Bucks to be included on NBA Jam! http://nba-jam.easports.com/home.action
  13. 3 in a row, actually Dave! Big win after a horrendous start. 21-25 now, 7 in a row at home, 3 in a row over all. Things are startin' to come together, Charlie.
  14. http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/1075/madison.gif For those unfamiliar with Madison geography, I put in the two pink dots where the "proposed" stops would be. One is the airport, in the NE corner of the map, the other is at First St and E Washington Ave. The biggest issue is, as always with Madison, the Isthmus. If the train isn't going to go through the Isthmus, then the airport is probably the only place it can stop. MAYBE, it could follow the Beltline (12/18) into town and go to Campus, almost along Park St.
  15. When the price of the train ticket, per person, is going to double what they'd spend on gas, I have extreme doubts that it will be a self-sustaining thing. Especially if they put the stop at the airport, 25 minutes from campus, and downtown. I'm all for it, but I have very little faith in the ability of the government to do something like this correctly.
  16. 31. Dave Bush. I just have a feeling, he's gonna be healthy, and pitch like he did for the 2nd half of 2008/first half of 2009.
  17. Well, who wants to wager on Edmonds getting more AB's then Gerut this year? Sigh. I don't get it. I just don't get it. Would've much rather had Gabe Gross.
  18. I don't know, 4 million is not a lot to add a TON of flexibility to your rotation and bullpen. If a guy doesn't perform, he can get sent down. If a guy doesn't perform, he can be replaced in the rotation. Exactly the things that weren't an option last year, are now an option this year.
  19. I remember the huge controversy in 1988 with the America's Cup race, when Star's and Stripes was a catamaran.
  20. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4860973 Could be a steal of a deal for the Twins, if Gardenhire lets him take some AB's away from Delmon Young.
  21. Great move by the Cubbies. A steal for that price, and he could easily get 400 ABs this year, between platooning and spelling their 2 corner OFs.
  22. If there's one pitcher who didn't ever belong on a National League team swinging a bat, it's Ben Sheets. Good Luck in Oakland, Sheeter!
  23. Most of the fans in the stands didn't even go to games when Brady Clark was playing. Anyway, I always thought it was a shame Loretta wasn't our 2B for a decade. Never understood why the front office let him go.
  24. I don't know about OPS, but park factor can be found here...
