  2. Include me! Love the generosity on the board!
  3. What about Toy Story? The first computer animated movie, has pretty much changed the face of animated films.
  4. I should be there!
  5. Can you view other sites with flash content (like youtube video's for example)?
  6. As your professor said, picking a comedy and then saying it isn't good for civic culture is not a good idea. You have to be able to back up what you write. Just because something is made up doesn't mean it is not promoting those 4 things, even in satire.
  7. I saw a Cubs fan passed out in front of a urinal today. Pee'd all over himself. Apparently, "peeing your pants for the Cubs" is being in first place in April.
  8. You can't compare different types of weightloss to one another. Losing a ton of fat weight is more than likely going to help a player, where as going off of steroids and losing 20lbs of muscle is going to hurt someone.
  9. I went to all 3 games vs the Blue Jays last year, and he didn't get boo'd like Carlos Lee, but there were as many boo's as there were "Ooooooooo's"
  10. Well, Brewers fans boo Carlos Lee and even Lyle Overbay last year was about as many boo's as cheers. So, I can't really complain about other fan's attitudes anymore.
  11. I went and picked one up at the park this afternoon at about 2pm, they were still available.
  12. It got scrapped because JJ was sick of hitting in front of the pitcher... at least, that's how I remember it.
  13. Basically, they will open up as soon as the traffic backup becomes a problem on Miller Park Way and National Ave. Last year it was an hour and a half before the scheduled opening time.
  14. Happy even made deadspin.... http://deadspin.com/5195852/brewers-fan-saves-bikini-girl-from-rogue-home-run-ball
  15. Man, wonder when the brittle braunie chants will start up this year...
  16. "I know the effect I have on women" What a great line.
  17. Its the bleachers, its opening day and its vs the Cubs. It will be chaos, I promise. hah.
  18. Why do we call it the "Super Bowl" I mean, it has no special powers. Nor is it a dish you can use to hold delicious soup.
  19. A friend and I are trying to track down mini-kegs of Bell's Two Hearted to drink while we watch basketball Thursday and Friday. If anyone knows where we might find them in the Milwaukee area, and/or has experience with them (Are they worth it?) let me know!
  20. My experience with Fan's Choice packages are: You get the bottom of the barrel, regardless. Anyone who gets a fixed pack gets better seats than you do. I didn't renew my 20 game pack this year, because none of the fixed packs matched up with my schedule, and the Fan's choice was too disappointing for me last year. Having friends who got new 10-game packs sitting in much better seats than me, who put down money 6 months in advance for 20 games, before they could even buy their tickets, really disheartened me. When I talked to my ticket rep about this, asking why I was told I was "locking in seat location by renewing early" when it clearly wasn't the case, I was given the run around and a brush off. So, my advice to anyone buying tickets, if you can, buy the set pack. If not, go with single game seats, as you can usually get much better than your 20-game fan's choice would give you.
  21. I am actually going to be in town this weekend.... so I should be able to make it!
  22. Two. Two solid seasons. Same as Hall did in '05 and '06. After which he agreed to make room for the stud prospect (Braun) by NOT playing infield and moving to CF. Despite having two butchers with the glove on the infield (Braun and Weeks) and being a solid defender, he was the one who got moved to the outfield. I'm playing devils advocate here, but it just shocks me that he'd come out and say something like that, and be given a total pass. Where as, when Hall comes out and says "Of course I want to play every day" he gets slammed for wanting to be traded. As for "Going for the World Series" from time to time, that's what they did last year, but our second stud starter broke down in September, and that absolutely killed us come playoff time. I'd much rather the team compete for the playoffs every year by not trading prospects, giving them a shot, every year, to be hot for 15 games, and win the Series... than to wheel and deal and have horrible 2002 like down years.
  23. There's a long list of prospects who went bust, mostly on the pitching side... up until last year, Parra would've been included amongst them, as he just couldn't stay healthy. What the Brewers need to do is maximize their win values per dollar spent, unlike other higher payroll teams, who are simply maximizing their win values by spending more. If JJ is worth 4 wins, and makes 15 million a year in free agency, we can pay Escobar 400k a year and get 3 wins out of him... well, the choice for the Brewers has to be Escobar. The extra 14 million can be better spent improving the club eslewhere. And, really, why isn't JJ taking more heat for refusing to even entertain the idea of switching positions? Imagine if Hall would've said that after his monster 2006 year. I can't even begin to fathom how much this board would've blown up.
  24. I will be the first to admit, I haven't read the original material. So on that end, I cannot comment. My original thoughts: The movie was simply too long. They tried to cram in all of the characters back stories, and all the goofy sex scenes, and it ended up detracting from the plot of the movie. The movie didn't go deep enough into anything and it left me feeling like "What was the point of showing me that?" when the movie was over.
  25. When the upside for a guy is slightly below average defense and a .700 ops... we already have 3 of those on the team fighting for the backup OF spots, and I'd say Nixon and Duffy have a shot at having bigger upsides.
