  1. This is it--10th inning or it's time to turn off the game and get serious about homework
  2. But how do you know that Dunn wouldn't have turned on one of those 80 mph fastballs? We got out of that inning w/o any runs, so as far as I'm concerned, that's successful managing, although I don't dispute that he probably should have gone to Shouse sooner. Meanwhile...this looks to be headed to extras...
  3. Blaming Yost on this is pushing it. Maybe we should blame Gagne for throwing a bad pitch? Or maybe the offense for only scoring 2 runs?
  4. Bring in Cordero, let Braun win it
  5. And...Gagne falls out of favor with the crowd
  6. Nice to get Prince another shot here. Time for HR #1
  7. This is the game right here.
  8. I'm sure all that booing really helps Mota throw strikes...
  9. Not sure why Shouse isn't in here... However, this is a good chance to see whether Mota can handle the 8th inning in a close game.
  10. There's Rickie for you...makes a bad play and then a great one.
  11. Oh well...guess we need another run.
  12. Interesting decision to stick with Cueto--I hope the Reds never get the game tied and lose 1-0.
  13. I wish I could watch the game...but I have exams like everyone else here. Looks like I'll be listening to Bob and Jim in the library.
  14. If I was going, I would boo him. If he comes in for a save situation, the crowd needs to pester him as much as possible--home field advantage!!!
  15. I saw some panic-stricken Tigers fans predicting 100 losses. Clearly, that isn't going to happen, but if they keep it up, they may not be able to catch the Indians. The fact is, despite the payroll, they have a number of flaws, especially with pitching. But, we know what cold weather does to offense, especially in that big ballpark. Once the weather heats up, they'll be fine.
  16. They just aren't on the same level as the Brewers/Cubs. But could they overachieve, stay in the race, and finish over .500? I think so. However, if they get any injuries at all, it's going to devastate them.
  17. I get the BUCKS game in Madison??? That's terrible. I guess I will actually have to do something productive on Tuesday night. Just send the Bucks to Kansas City already.
  18. Right now, it seems like Miller Park holds about one concert per year. With field turf, I would like to see them hold 5-10 events per year--basketball, hockey, concerts, motorcross, monster trucks, etc. However, I would be concerned if we were the first MLB team to do this.
  19. Gametime temperature: upper 50's Partly Sunny Estimated crowd: 25-30,000
  20. 1. The number of people standing/sitting/smoking/falling down in the concourses--better than having them bothering the people trying to watch the game 2. New realization about how far away section 405 is, even though we were in row 1 3. The person-sized hole in the field level outside glass around 1st base--bad way to get in for free 4. The person chugging Jager from the bottle in the backgroud of the channel 6 tailgaiting reporter--after the game 5. The fact that today was by far the best offensive performance for the Giants this year (they only had 4 runs in 3 games), and they still got hammered by the Crew :-)
